i loved it until halfway through the 3rd dungeon, where i started getting tired of the puzzles and foes. then the 4th dungeon made me drop the game for literally 2 years. then i finally decided to finish the game and just used a guide for the 5th dungeon bc fuck all that. also the flanderization of certain characters was really annoying, BUT it is also the game that made me fall in love with shinjiro.

it was really cool before that tho; i especially loved the bosses of dungeons 1-3 (i dont even remember the 4th and 5th ones). idk if i'll ever replay this game but uhhh yeah!

3.5 only because of archaic gameplay stuff, otherwise would be at least a 4 hands down.

i loved all the new okinawa characters (minus tamashiro) and i find mine sooo interesting. the parallels between him and kiryu UGH i wanted him to have a redemption arc and marry daigo... why must all the cool yakuza antagonists die 😔

i had a great time with this game!! the combat is the weakest its been so far and the chase/flee segments can eat my entire ass, BUT the story and characters were very enjoyable for me. i love kiryu sm... man.

that hostess minigame is blasphemous tho
