Overall thoughts: Okay, I finally get the hype. The visuals are average (and frankly put me off playing the game for so long) but the gameplay really saves it for me. It's fast, it's fun, it's addicting. Definitely a fun grind.

Overall thoughts: I remember renting both Katamari Damacy games from Blockbuster way back when, and I've been a big fan of the series since I was a kid. The whole premise, visuals, music, etc. is so zany and weird, but in the best way. There's a lot that this game improves on from the first game (mainly in the variety of levels and tasks you're asked to complete), and it really spices up what an otherwise become repetitive gameplay. The primary issue I have with this game is that I don't think the soundtrack is as good as the first game; a lot of the music was boring, which is saying a lot for Katamari Damacy. The music of the first game is so memorable to me, and I barely remembered a lot of the tracks from this game when I started playing it again. That being said, this game is still a ton of fun and I'm so glad I picked it up again after so many years.

Overall thoughts: It does get a little repetitive, but the cozy gameplay is very calming for my brain.

Overall thoughts: After putting almost 400 hours into this game, I can easily say that it's my favorite game - favorite piece of media - of all time. It's just that good. The story, the acting, the music, the gameplay, all of it comes together in the single most engaging game I have ever experienced in my life. I hadn't even heard of Baldur's Gate before this entry dropped, so I had zero expectations going into the game but I was still blown away by almost everything. It does fall apart a little bit in Act 3, but that's probably the biggest complaint I have with the game.

It's not a perfect game, but its flaws are so minor that I'm willing to overlook them. If you have any interest in RPGs, D&D, or honestly just games in general, please, please, give this one a try (although most of you probably already have).

I never played the original FFVII as a kid - in fact, FFX was my first Final Fantasy. So I don't have any nostalgia going into this remake like most people probably do. Knowing as little as I did about the FFVII story, I found this game extremely fun and well-developed. I know for some the obvious padding is too much (turning one game into three extra long games feels like the developers looked at Peter Jackson's take on The Hobbit and said "here, hold my beer."), but I thoroughly enjoyed most of the extra story, dialogue, and the sidequests (yes, actually). Not all of them were bangers, but I had fun with them nonetheless. The voice acting is spectacular; I played in the original Japanese, but the English voice cast are also extremely talented. It also goes without saying that the game is beyond gorgeous and almost every frame is a feast for the eyes.

The only reason this wasn't a 5/5 for me was because sometimes the AI combat for your allies has them do very stupid things that will drive you to the brink of insanity, and Chapter 17 in particular was way too tedious, even for me.

I can't wait to start playing the original so I can experience the full story before the rest of the remakes are released.

The dirt tracks made me want to set myself on fire. I don't know why these had to be so horrendous, but I almost dropped the game within the first half hour because I hated them so much. But if you can survive that gauntlet, there's a really fun game in here.

When you're on the asphalt tracks, you really get a sense of speed and the cars handle well. I'm not sure how realistic of an experience it is, but that didn't really matter to me. I'm now a pro at turning left. 😎

I play at least 30-60 minutes every day, sometimes more. It's a great time waster and I really don't feel like I have to put money into it to enjoy my experience. I could probably get a lot stronger a lot faster if I put in more money, but that's not really why I play. Gives me something to do on my commute or while I'm watching TV.

This game can do no wrong. I've probably played this game to completion at least 10 times throughout my life. It was one of my favorites when I was a kid and I still love the hell out of it. The remake is very, very good, but I will always have a special place in my heart for the original.

It's buggy and laggy, but I still had a lot of fun with this one. I enjoyed the attempts to make the story more interesting and a little more dynamic than just "get 8 badges then face the Elite Four" that has been the staple of main series Pokemon games for decades.

A lot of Pokemon from this gen feel lazy and disappointing, but there are a lot of great designs throughout. I like raiding a lot more in this game than I did in SW/SH, and shiny hunting is a lot more fun as well. This game didn't do anything to revolutionize Pokemon quite like Arceus did, but it's still a decent game.

There's a lot to do in this game. Most of the gameplay is based around resource management and growing your state power, which is done mainly through things like leveling your knights' power and intimacy with your lovers. There are always one or more events going on, which are good ways to accumulate more resources and power. There are a lot of P2W elements in this game, unfortunately, and while that does take some of the fun out of it, it's not a dealbreaker for me. I highly recommend playing with an alliance, as it makes the game more enjoyable. For what it is, it's a good little time-waster of a game.

Pull rates are pretty abysmal, which makes this game a little frustrating if you're F2P. Love the music, gameplay, and character design. Not the best gacha I've ever played, but still a ton of fun.

I want to like this game more than I do. Visually it's fine; there are gacha games that look better and those that look worse. This one is pretty middle of the road, and that's fine.

The real appeal here is that it's a Disney gacha game, and the available cast of characters is pretty broad and even includes some less popular or well-known characters, which is a nice touch. This game has all the typical hallmarks of a gacha game, including gear, leveling/tiering up your characters, PVP, guilds, guild raids, dailies, and more. There's a decent amount of things to do.

Unfortunately, that's where my praise for this game ends. I'm still fairly low level, but I find that I burn through my energy extremely quickly, which prevents me from playing for as long as I'd like. Secondly, and most egregiously, this game is blatantly pay-to-win, and I'm not sure how much fun it's going to be in the long run as a F2P player. You can outright purchase a lot of characters to remove a lot of RNG on pulling for units like most gacha games do, but the prices are outrageous - for example, there are some characters that literally cost $50 to purchase. You can get some characters by gathering enough tokens of that character and combining them, but that's still a lot of grinding. It's really unfortunate, because I want to love this game but don't know if I'll ever be in a place to enjoy it without whaling.

Came for the dragon slaying, stayed for the addictive skill grinding. Every time I pick this game up I lose several hours in the blink of an eye. This is my preferred flavor of escapism.

I've been playing for about 7 years now and this is by far the best MMO I have ever played. For those who are looking for it, the game has a great story (though admittedly, you'll have to get into the first expansion to really see the story take off).

One of the features I like best is the option to play all classes on one character, which removes the tedious process of rolling alts to try out new jobs. You can really invest everything into one character, which is great. The game's community is also one of the best I've encountered. Most players are friendly and helpful, which makes the game a joy to play most of the time. Constant updates, attentive devs, and a great soundtrack round out FFXIV to be an amazing experience that's well worth the monthly subscription!
