I can see why people went nuts for this back in the day, but the games that built on it (e.g. Slay the Spire) blow it out of the park. Setting aside the graphics, it's unbalanced and RNG-heavy; a lot of enemies have passives or counter-cards that give them a %chance to ignore physical damage, or block a move, or in one boss's case reflect your cards, and I found that annoying as hell.
