Good game but the story in these games do absolutely nothing for me. They might as well hold up a giant sign that says "please cry" during the cutscenes.

this comment doesn't even make sense, this game doesn't have any crying moments yet alone try to force you to
tbh i definitely get this complaint. these games are enjoyable but i think for a couple of people it does verge on being a bit too... cloyingly disney-like in terms of vibes. i think the 2nd one earns these moments better due to having actual world building and dialogue, but it definitely feels noticeable in 1.
