Flower Zone and Sky Pavilion CHANGED me as a 10 year old.
This game was really really niche but if you played it you know. one of the last games where you play as a Pokémon besides unite which is really sad.
Playing as Pikachu fighting others was badass. The controls and graphics would prob feel massively aged to me if I played now. But I just remember this being a pretty and fun experience. Also the ending had MEW in it a ton so 11/10

Standalone ripped apart the DayZ community.
Initially 100% of players were playing the first version of DAYZ played with a mods via ARMA2.
There were hundreds of custom servers on Arma2 DayZ, Multiple maps, modded vehicles and so many fun extras to keep people engaged.
Then DayZ standalone came along... This game launched with like 3 fucking guns, no cars, no planes, no helis, and took place on the FIRST base chenarus map.
Dont get me wrong, At the time it was so EXCITING to see a OFFICIAL DayZ game, The graphics were better along with some of the animations. At the time It really felt like DayZ was going to grow with this new game.
NOOOTTT really the case 💀. The development was so hellishly slow the fanbase began to split up, and many went back to Arma 2.
After years of weak updates, they eventually opened the game up so modders could host custom servers with new maps/custom items. But clearly DAYZSA must be harder to mod than any ARMA game because people never seemed to really create much

Got my 60$ on Xbox 360, and THREE times on PC... 💀
One of the most, if not THE most culturally impactful game of the 2010's besides maybe Fortnite in 2017.
Campaign was 6/10. Good writing here and there but a majority of the missions have you finding yourself mentally unstimulated driving back and forth across the map to "pick something up" or "kill someone"...
The community is what made this game nearly 10/10 with mods, sexy hackers dropping me money online, early DNS server glitches on XBOX 360 and more.
One of the FEW games I started playing at 13 years old and can still find myself enjoying to this day at 24 just casually driving around
And yeah fuck yall im writing my reviews based on culture and personal impact not just the game itself 💀💀

Fantastic open world survival/crafting/factorio/star citizen type game for the price.
Press initially labeled this as a cheap cash grab... "Pokémon with guns", but I got around 50 SOLID hours played with friends. Obviously not a title you would play every day, seems like most of my steam friends clocked out around 30-80 hours.
Very silly fun gameplay with alright progression, however gets a little boring once you are around 65%+ done; not much to motivate you to keep playing.
Factory management is fun at the start, but once you start getting more advanced- the lack of management tools becomes frustrating as the AI will often go and do their own thing.
