yeah it's kinda obscene how satisfying it is to just mindlessly play drakengard despite its gameplay feeling like it was designed by an alien species attempting to replicate the average musou

@ToasterNinja thing is, i don't have a problem with anything this game does. including the combat. just about everything here is solid- not all spectacular or particularly stand-out, but it's a well-constructed videojuego

Yeah the footage I have seen of this over the years always has me saying to myself "This looks fine". Retro video game discussions tend to be way too hyperbolic and that leads to a lot of misconceptions on games that are just perfectly fine and inoffensive to play
