The top 5 platformers I've ever played.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

The creativity involved in creating the platforming mechanics and making ALL of them feel good is something I will never truly understand. Addicting to play.

Buttery smooth. There was not one moment in this game I wanted to stop playing. Platforming level design at its finest. The only reason Ori and the Will of the Wisps is above it is because of that game's creativity.

Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition

Just slightly worse and not as creative as its sequel. Also the combat doesn't feel as good and doesn't mesh with the platforming well at all in this game, while in its sequel, the combat compliments the core mechanic.

Though some parts feel unfair, there's an undeniable rhythm to Celeste's movement that makes it borderline addicting to play through.

Phenomenal game and platforming that isn't as creative as the rest of the ones on this list but still deserves recognition for its surrealist concepts. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLAY THE PSYCHONAUTS GAMES
