First of all - I like Abby as a character a lot. I wish we could finish the game playing as her. She is sympathetic, cares about her friends and has her heart in the right place. She had the opportunity to kill Ellie three times, but violence for violence sake was never her goal. She's not a saint by any means, but I feel like she's really trying her best considering what kind of world she's living in.

Second - Ellie story is tragic. Joel was a terrible person, Tommy was not better at the end. So considering that was the people who rised Ellie, there's no suprise she end up "broken". Still decision to leave Dina and their child was so painful and immature that it really made it hard for me to play as Ellie at the end, when all I wanted to do was to turn around and go back.

I don't know if that was writers intention, but I like how they showed what influence people like Joel could have for young person. He was never a hero and his relation with Ellie was never healthy, despite what some "gamers" could think after first game. Showing it in part 2 must be shocking for younger or more immature playeres. That's, in my opinion, what couses all this terrible hate that follows this game.

Mechanically, the game has a lot of little glorious moments, but overall the gameplay isn't very different from the first game. For ND, as for R*. time seems to have stood still. Pity. Graphics and music are top notch. Likewise, animations and voice acting - all praise and rewards are well deserved.

Overall it's a 7 maybe 8 out of 10 for me. I respect the writing and what ND tried to share, although I can't be sure if all the good parts of the story was intentional or if that's just my reading of it. I really like horror elements of the game - some locations was great in making creepy atmosphere. Setbacks - outdated gameplay style, lack of chance to impact the story as a player.

At least the porn that came out of this was decent
