shgzzzr finished Thief II: The Metal Age
Now that's what I'm talking about.

Thief II fixes the most part of the problems of the original game which I noticed back then. The levels here are more stealth-focused and designed much better.

The pacing here feels more slow. It's cool, 'cause, after all, we're playing as a thief, and this slowness adds some immersion to the entire game.

Speaking about the gameplay, it's become strongly infiltrating-and-stealth-focused. No more exploring dungeons in order to find a treasure or something like that, nope. And you know what? I like this change. It feels like Thief II gameplay is exactly that one that I expected when I was starting my Thief I playtrough.

(New potions are very cool, by the way!)

My only problem with the game was the last level. Fuck it. I skipped it 'cause the game softlocked me at the half of my progress, and I didn't wanna go trough the whole shit and do the same again (prolly it's the only level I absolutely didn't like during my playtrough. It has nothing to catch on at all for me).

Summarizing the whole review, I did enjoy the game, and it was way more satisfactory than Thief I. It was a good journey.

Maybe I'll try Deadly Shadows once... Maybe...

Just holy shit. I can't believe THIS is a mod. Not a game, not something else... a mod.

It plays with the Thief lore and gameplay so greatly, so you can't believe it's an unoffical thing.

Everything is done on the highest possible level, including the cut-scenes and levels itself. The devs really cooked, and the dish appeared to be SO FUCKING DELICIOUS.

Though some of the levels I personally didn't like, it doesn't bother me from giving this mod the highest grade I only can. It's just... So well done, and I wanted to play a good immersive sim game for a long time, and TBP gave me exactly what I've wished for.

I've also heard that there was an Arkane Lyon dev working on this, and this warms my heart really hard, 'cause technically speaking, The Black Parade was developed by one of the Dishonored devs, and Dishonored is one of my most favorite games ever made. Cool!

I'd sell this mod, if I were the devs and had that opportunity. The amount of work put into the mod is monstrous. Thank you, guys.

shgzzzr finished Hi-Fi Rush
It was my second time beating this game. The first one was during its release.

You know, there're not that much games which capture my soul entirely, but this one... It's one of them.

Hi-Fi Rush is a helluva banger, and I despise Microsoft for closing Tango Gameworks. It's a game which doesn't have a deep, hard plot or something like that, but instead it has a striking and fun gameplay, a bunch of jokes, some adrenaline attractions, and, after all, a fucking soul put in it.

The entire soundtrack is a banger, especially the selected copyright songs (I mean, there's Prodigy!!!), and... Damn, I have no words to describe how cool this game is. It's just so well done, that it grabs and doesn't let you go 'till the very end. Just try it out for yourself, and spend a couple of hours of yours playing a game that actually deserves your attention and all the praise it has.

Fuck you, Microsoft. I'll never forgive you.

«If I ever beat this game in my life, I'll rewrite this review, and now I'll let it be as it is at the moment»

...And now I'm here.

So, the gameplay core of Thief is amazing. It provides you with a big arsenal, which you may use as you wish. It's fun and catchy, and it does its own job greatly. I like the gameplay and everything related to it.

But when it comes to the levels... I just don't get it. Why is the most part of them suck? Why do some levels feel like the game designer decided to splash out their anger on the players? What have I done to deserve that?Thief levels here are like finding diamonds in a pile of dirt, and I do hope the situation with it is much better in the sequel.

Every other aspect of the game is cool, though. Despite Thief sometimes made me want to kill myself, in general, I enjoyed it, and it was an exciting adventure, which I'd lovely like to continue in Thief II.

Oh, forgot to mention how great this game in terms of modding. I mean, just look at Black Parade.
