Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars is the first game in a new Square Enix franchise, released in late 2021. Since then two sequels have been released, and I'll say that Isle Dragon Roars was fun enough to get me to play the rest of the franchise.
The card gimmick is very cute, the art is pretty generic but it's high quality anyway. The story is also fairly generic, and the twist is obvious from the start, but the narrator is great. He delivers a fantastic story and the game master motif is a lot of fun.
There's not much special about the story or the art or the combat. But there's a lot to love about the presentation and the gimmick and absolutely the music. It's 100% a game you'll remember for more than what it actually is. It's absolutely worth the time
