It doesn't go above and beyond being a Jet Set Radio game, instead playing it safe. Feels like what I imagine a 3rd entry to be if one had come out shortly after JSRF. Ultimately probably more enjoyable than a boring remake or wildly different entry that Sega could always spawn now that it is decades removed from the last one. It could have done more but at the same time I'm very happy with what I have. The passion is so evident in this work and it fills a passionate fan like me with joy.

Even more content than the original and just as satisfying to play. The simple addition of the grab adds a lot.

Some genuinely fun mini games. Bloated with too many similar ones, which makes it a lot less replayable.

Simple but addicting. One of those games you can bust out whenever and guarantee some memorable and hilarious moments with friends.

Live service Gang Beasts and if that wasn't bad enough, there is no lifting the other player. If I was going to yell at my friend's in a live service game I'd rather play Fall Guys anyway.

The sheer size of the cliff face that the quality dropped off of is crazy to me. Absurdity so forced it's rarely funny anymore.

Surprisingly thought provoking and enjoyable for a game I went into expecting to be "so bad, it's good." Successfully uses its extreme subject matter without making me cringe. And yeah was fun with friends.

Big jump in quality from the first game. Feels better, there is an actual practice mode and move list, and last but not least the music is insane. Was not aware the protagonists in this series would just be evil so that's cool. Still hard to get used to the insane damage values.

Balance is out of whack for sure plus frustrating AI input reading. So I appreciate the infinite continues. At the same time there is something satisfying about the slower pace and larger damage of this game. Matches can end so quickly. And of course the cheesy ending FMVs and awesome OST. Don't really like the game but it's cool for the time.

The addicting gameplay loop is there from the start. Fun with friends to be had. Too bad it's nigh impossible to feel something positive about the game for an extended period of time when the game is constantly kicking you while you're down. Exhausting and stingy equipment grind, absurd amounts of item grinding between the actual fun of hunts, and worst of all are the small monsters that won't ever stop pestering you. I can't imagine not item duping with a friend. It saved us unthinkable hours.

The entire party is entertaining as hell. You also have the ability to free run in battle. That's where the improvements on Symphonia end. Shocked the music is, again, so unremarkable. Too much jargon quickly saps the player's ability to care or take things seriously. The story has no idea when to end. The RPG side of combat does very little to make up for the lack of depth seen in the action side versus pure action game contemporaries of the time.

Bonus music rocks. Screw this game.

Respect the ambition. Fails on so many fronts though. Should not reset progress with this much content. Can only shoot. Space travel is waste of time. Every level shares the same song. Movement animation is hilarious.

When she Clu in the Clussy idk I'm not beating 20 stages of this bullshit
