Had never really gone deep into a Souls game before Elden Ring, and it more than exceeded my expectations. It's one of the best games I've ever played. I enjoyed it so much that I even got the itch to play more Souls games and beat Dark Souls 3.

Got about 2/3 to 3/4 through the game so far. I'd say it's a 5 if it was a standalone game instead of a sequel to a game that laid a lot of the ground work for world building. The new mechanics are great and the story is strong enough.
