This version of Minesweeper adds some interesting new game modes with challenges and achievements. But oh my gosh, all these ads ... really, Microsoft?

The game has an interesting concept and a spooky atmosphere but in a very weird way. Unfortunately I got stuck, probably due to some bug and abandoned the game afterwards as there are no save points.

Nice little mobile game by Finish indie game developer Jussi Simpanen. It features a lot of bunnies 🐰, 105 to be exact. But they’re all just cosmetics. And that’s my main criticism: The game is too monotonous as it has just a single stage. But chasing the high score is fun nevertheless and it has a two player mode that can be played in coop or versus mode.

I played Tiny Wings a lot in the early days of iOS gaming and liked the simple but challenging gameplay. But I only recently learned appreciating the two player split screen mode. With the (optional) automatic handicap it works really well with children and one wonders why not more games offer that option.

Very emotional and heartwarming game. Exploring the world and characters keeps one going, although it gets a bit too repetitive in the second half of the game.

2021

Squirrels, many squirrels! The core game mechanic gets a bit boring after a while, but the story was interesting enough to keep me going.

A little free update with a few new achievements, enemies and collectibles. I got stuck a few times within walls and was somehow invincible so that I had to quit the game. But hey, more vampires and it's free!

Nice little mobile game. But the characters, enemies and weapons are too similar and makes the game a bit too repetitive. Nevertheless fun for a while.

Compared to the three Lego Batman games the story part is better, quite funny (and sometimes confusing). Afterwards there is a big open world similar to Lego Batman 2 with some GTA vibes. But the world feels a bit empty overall. There is probably as many quests and things to do as in the other games but the game makes it pretty hard to find them easily.

Interesting and novel take on Tetris

More maps, more characters, more weapons, more unlocks and many more vampires. I hit some minor little bugs like the bestiary not showing the correct numbers (on iOS). In the last few minutes of a run, there are usually so many vampires that you cannot see anything and it becomes a bit pointless. The game feels too easy overall. Nevertheless, if you like the original game, definitely worth checking it out.

The Silent Age is overall a nice point and click adventure game. The time travel mechanic brings back memories of the Day of the Tentacle. The puzzles are most of the time pretty easy but the story is interesting enough to get you going.
