This is a temporary entry for this title, because I'm still working through it - currently in Chapter II, so I've got a long way to go. But as it stands, I felt a serious desire to vocalize how much I am absolutely, truly in love with Sakura no Uta. This was one of the titles I had waiting for me - maybe the title I anticipated the most - along my Japanese journey, and now that I'm at a point where I can digest it and truly appreciate the text, it's the most rewarding and incredible feeling. So much of what Sakura is talking about is deeply personal for me, much of the direct narrative as well as the thematic purpose it swings for. I think this is going to be a title I think about, one that I cherish, for a very long time. I don't know if a new title has meant so much to me so early on since Umineko.
