man i am enjoying SO much these side missions
this is being a surprisingly fun game
still difficult because im shit at being stealth and also shit at combat
but very fun and im in love w these characters too theyre interesting
the main plot started interesting but at this point is kinda zzz but no surprise there i wasnt expecting something good so i was actually surprised
i gotta say how hilarious is that the only character i was interested since the beginning isnt even in the game at all lmfaoioiloio
not haunted by the narrative not protected but something much worst. ignored by it
ALSO the fact we cant save rucker is just the worst.
man i cant catch a fucking break every single video game gives too much attention on boring and not interesting characters and the ones that i care for just fucking die

anyway, hunter/aquilus carried this entire plot on his back

ended up siding with reed ( sided w so mi but after she revealed theres only one cure i said fuck that and called reed lmfao)

i'll say this much. there is a clearly choice route the game wants you to play. if you haven't noticed, it's probably because you're following it.
the game is bugged to hell and beyond, and its not only for act 3. like i already mentioned, it gets even worst if you try to mix and match bad and good choices.
shoutout to my past self for being able to figure it out larians game design (this is not a positive thing)
not even gonna bother rating this
the 2 star is one for the dark urge and the other is for gortash
hopefully it gets less buggy when larian patches it again and again
maybe i'll eventually play it later

24/07 - i'm writing this beforehand and organizing my logs because i know i won't be able to when it releases. i'm not putting this note on the day because i am not playing but i need to do something or i will explode, so i'm writing here

31/07 - it doesn't feel real yet and i feel scared and anxious! but my main character is ready, and i figured it out most of his backstory. but since he is the dark urge, there is much i don't know yet! which is so exciting! and scary! larian truly outdid themselves with this character concept

i still didnt vibe with the main character though, and kept changing portraits all the time only to end up not liking any of them
tldr the combat is so fucking overwhelming and bad and with the lack of full voiced texts i found myself not caring

ive been playing for almost 6 hours and completed only three (3) quests and failed every single other. well then.

WELL GIRLS
im not as annoyed with my choices as i was, so at least there's that
my oc is also less confusing to me as he was back then, so it's been a wild process !!
also the anarchist path is INSANE LMFAOO!! its just. so fucking funny how tunon said we should be killed probably right after that bullshit in act 1 and mark was like hold up let him cook
finished the game with the anarchist questline, but ended swearing loyalty to kyros because it made more sense for my character
i'll check out the other paths though, because im still not happy with some of the choices i made

most of the time, nostagia is better left alone
most of the time, there is a reason as to why someone stops caring for something they used to love
and i feel like i've been reminded of that reason, but i'm not sure i can write the words as to what is that reason.
to its defense, atb is not bad in a gameplay mechanics kinda of sense. it might be the best one among the amnesia games. it is consistent interesting and engaging, and i had a lot of fun walking around collecting supplies, managing them, combining them while trying to figure the monster out. they did not disappoint in any way at all in the mechanics.
the problem, the reason why i'm left with a bitter taste is that gameplay mechanics can only do so much for a game. and it cannot save it.
the narrative, the plot, the character were a major disappointment. they were constantly lowering the bar and it just. kept getting worst! what the fuck! by the time i was in the mid game, i already figured all of it out and part of me hoped i was wrong, that there was something else, that there is no way it's that uniteresting
but yes. it is.

3. this narrator is hard carrying this game imo, i find myself looking forward to the next chapter only to hear his weird well written ramblings
4. yikes they couldnt even bother voicing their own antagonist
5. well but this is definely getting more interesting and im enjoying a lot exploring baldurs gate and it got even better when i got to its underground. i was not expecting the ruins of a fucking city under it !! loved it
