Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna - The Golden Country is a must play for everyone that has finished and has enjoyed the base game. This game is a prequel that goes more in depth about the Aegis war, the characters of Jin and Mythra, the Torna titan and his civilization. The story is incredible and the gameplay is well done, I personally still prefer the original game one better but this one is great and fast from the start.
This DLC is a full game by itself, it’s about 25+ hours long, and full of great side quests.

I recently replayed the entire game though New Game Plus and I gotta say that I love this game with all my heart.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a fantastic game (nonetheless my favorite game of all time), not a flawless one for sure, but overall is an incredible JRPG done by Monolith Soft.

The games has obvious flaws, such as the tutorials, the not so enjoyable but rather awful field skill mechanic, the blade gacha system and, if you want to throw it in there, sexualization. Despite it all, this game remains a beautiful JRPG with an incredible story, lovable cast of characters, phenomenal gemeplay and an outstanding soundtrack.

The story as said before is incredibly well written, characters are also written phenomenally, just take a look at Jin and Mythra, but also at Malos and Amalthus. Regarding the main party members, I love every single one of them, they do feel like a family and I loved especially the interactions Poppi had with Mythra and Rex during the game.
Don’t get me started with the environments, they’re fantastic, each titan is wonderfully crafted, every bit of the world of Alrest feels alive and the landscapes are incredible (as in every other Xenoblade game). I have about 220 hours in this game, and I think that at least for 10 to 20 hours of it, it was just me doing nothing but admiring landscapes.
The gameplay is a lot of fun, especially after the first chapters of the game, when you unlock the chain attack and unlock the full potential of having 9 blades to work with.
I enjoyed the blade mechanic a lot, however I can’t deny that the gacha system adopted to obtain them is not really plesant.
The soundtrack is outstandingly good, it doesn’t fail one single time in enhancing every aspect of the game including cutscenes, battles and locations.

The main story takes about 70+ hours to complete, once done with it the postgame and New Game Plus have a lot of content to offer.

On a side note I think that the game would have benefited from multiple savefiles, but I guess that they’ve been discarded due to the gacha system.

Oh, and if you played the base game you should 100% play Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna - The Golden Country. This DLC is a full game by itself, it’s about 25+ hours long, and it adds a lot to the character of Jin and Mythra.

There’d be a lot to say about this game,
If you want to see a more in depth retrospective about it, I highly recommend this video done by KingK: https://youtu.be/DQqhUDvcC8s

And on a final note, since I almost forgot about the English voice acting, I highly suggest playing the game with the Japanese voice acting. Really, the English dub is not good.
