Doom 3

released on Oct 15, 2012

A remaster of Doom 3

The 2004-era Doom 3 with enhanced graphics, a checkpoint save system, 3D Capability for 3D Televisions and Achievements/Trophies (Xbox 360, Steam, and PS3). Unlike the original game which featured the Flashlight as a 'weapon' itself, the BFG Edition instead was 'armor-mounted' meaning players can attack and illuminate dark areas simultaneously. It was released inside Doom 3: BFG Edition.

Despite the criticism Doom 3 gets for being too dark, I really enjoy the way they handled the story making Doom work with it. Doom 3 does have its flaws, mostly the final boss fight being rather disappointing and hand holding, but other than that I really enjoy gong back to it and playing the story again and again.

This is my personal favorite Doom game and the only one that I actually like. The originals were too dated for me at the time and the reboot I personally hated. So in my eyes, this is the only Doom fame and the only one I personally ever reference.
