still on early access but can't describe the infinite potential this game has. super fun!
An excellent mixture of roguelikes and NHL 94, but you can tell it's still a work in progress.
Roguelike Eishockey, wobei die Eishockey-Komponenten super funktionieren und die Roguelike-Komponenten maximal passabel sind.
Das Spiel ist im Kern ein wunderbar nostalgisches Arcade-Eishockey, welches aber um sehr witzige und abwechslungsreiche Fähigkeiten ergänzt wird. Allein das könnte ich schon stundenlang spielen.
Der Hauptmodus ist hier allerdings nicht Couch-PvP sondern ein Kampagnenmodus im Stile eines Roguelikes. Dank der verschiedenen Fähigkeiten macht es auch Spaß immer wieder durch die Kampagne zu progressen, aber alles drumherum ist nicht so gut gelungen.
Der permanente Fortschritt ist recht uninspiriert. Mit einer Währung kann man drei verschiedene Arten von Upgrades holen, welche alle nicht wahnsinnig motivieren als Ziel von Run zu Run.
Auch die einzelnen Events zwischen den Matches in einem Run sprudeln nicht gerade vor Kreativität. Besonders ungünstig sind die Events bei denen der eigene Charakter ein komplett zufälliges Trait bekommt. Das ermöglicht null Planung oder Taktik.
Insgesamt ist das Eishockeyspiel im Kern aber stark genug um Tape to Tape zu einer Empfehlung für jeden Freund von gepflegtem Arcade-Sport zu machen.

è divertente, ma la scarsità di continuità nei contenuti che offre lo rende noiosa. Quando metti elementi rogue like in un gioco di sport secondo me stai avendo l'idea giusta, ma non basta solo la meccanica servono MOLTI contenuti per legittimare più run
I love sports games but dislike roguelites, so I hesitated picking this one up for a while, but I'm glad I finally gave it a chance.
This game has creativity and new ideas that you rarely see in today's vanilla sports games. The hockey gameplay is good enough, though it has some faults. It doesn't feel as smooth or responsive as the retro hockey games it's inspired by, and some of the puck and goalkeeper physics feel janky.
This led to me losing a lot of games where I was dominating my opponent on the ice but lost the game due to a cheap goal. With all the roguelite power-ups, luck feels more important than skill, which can lead to some frustration. I found the Easy difficulty to be too easy, while Standard felt cheap.
The early access version of the game is also quite short and low on game modes. That said, if you go into it with the mindset this is an indie sports game with some new ideas, I feel like it's worth the relatively low price of admission. Whether it eventually evolves to something greater remains to be seen, but I'm glad there are people still making sports games with original ideas.

Fantastic combination of a sports game and Roguelike. Fun and silly overall presentation. Made me realize how much I enjoy hockey, and also wonder: "Why aren't there more games about it on Steam?"
