The game only has one lowest point being Oil Ocean, it's not even bad but just oddly slower paced, but I do think it picks itself up afterwards
The introduction of Tails feels natural, like he's always been there, despite him being only a sprite swap he's an enjoyable conclusion to the series.
Special Stages are easier to get now, though I wouldn't call the halfpipe particularly good, HOWEVER it's pay off with Super Sonic feeling like the best reward given
