Oddly enough 2006 was the year i discovered betrayal for the first time, I didn't think it would come in the form of a licensed kids game but i had to learn that lesson eventually I guess.

A cult classic if I've ever seen one
A bizarre ass fever dream through the dreams of Spongebob, Patrick, and Plankton
While not the best game, it's full of imagination and cleverness

this game gets so much shit i stg this is why we'll never get some acid trip fever dream spongebob property again, ITS HELLA FUCKIN GOOPY

It should be noted I played a good amount of this as a kid and I remember liking it so as far as this replay went I enjoyed the time with it, but it froze right before the Gary race and despite cleaning and making sure there wasn't anything funny going on it just kept freezing at the loading point so I'll probably be skipping out on replaying the game in full. It was decent and unique for a SpongeBob game, but the levels were kind of repeating and the enemy types were meh. But racing was fun and the gross designs were definitely eye grabbing.

6.8/10

this game tries really hard to be a weird and dark spongebob game by having these unconventional changes in setting, art style, and gameplay. too bad none of the gameplay styles are particularly fun, the combat is drolling, and levels take forever. also, anything that isn't the patrickman segments looks ugly and the writing hardly got a chuckle out of me.

This game consistently scared me as a kid, and it was justified.

Heavy Iron Studios made Spongebob a success in the video game world so Blitz Games decided to take their own take on Spongebob. Taking inspiration from the episode Sleepy Time, the game takes place in the dreams of Spongebob, Patrick and Plankton.

Spongebob has three different gameplay styles. He will do racing sections in a hot rod racing and nightmare racing, platforming in the hot rod and an Alaskan Bull Worm and he will also fly a plane above Bikini Bottom. Patrick has two different gameplay styles. He will do superhero action in a comic book style world and fly in a rocket ship in space and nightmare racing. Plankton also has different three gameplay styles. He will be chased by a Giant Krabby Patty, he will grow 50 feet tall to crush every building in Bikini Bottom and racing in nightmare racing.

Since the story takes place in dreams, the artwork changes. Level 1 - Diesel Dreaming is inspired by artist Ed Roth. Level 2 - Starfishman to the rescue is a comic book world. Level 3 - Supersized Patty is a regular Spongebob episode. However, Level 4 to 9 all use the same art style hinting at the player that all these dreams are the same dream.

This is definitely the most unique Spongebob game to ever be made. Blitz Games did a good job at it. Shame this is one of the last decent Spongebob games before the dark age of Spongebob games.

The worst part about growing up is realizing the games you love so much as a kid turns out to be actually mid all along. I miss those simple days...

The combat feels like a sneeze that won't come out.

I love the creativity of this game. That along with it being a fun, easy platformer with great music, I can say this is almost on par with Battle for Bikini bottom

Not as good as the SpongeBob movie game, but still has some fun moments and is very creative. Levels tend to drag on for way longer than they need to, though.

Very mid platformer compared to other Spongebob games, characters don't have much variety in abilities and the Patrick levels are mind numbingly boring.

CFTKK is to Battle for Bikini Bottom and Movie Game what Crash: Wrath of Cortex is to the original Crash Trilogy. Its got all the makings to be a good Spongebob game, but some choices the devs made hold it back significantly. Some levels overstay their welcome way too much. Its not as smooth flowing as its predecessors either. Very linear and tedious to say the least. Still, I reccomend this over Truth or Square ANY day.

Only played this on the DS and it's really bad on there, yet to try the home console versions

Super underrated. Comparing it to other Spongebob games, this one is super unique. Apparently, there are different versions of this game, I recommend playing the GameCube version.

The Sonic Adventure 2 of SpongeBob games

The plankton city battle was kind of annoying

Macrophilia Plankton Fetish.

No I will not explain.

This game was so weird. The solid kind of weird that was jack of all trades master of none on what it set out to do.

I do wanna see a remake or remaster of it that irons out it's quirks to make it on par with Spongebob's solid lineup of games but what we have is good enough.

astronomically more boring than I remember it being as a kid. Every area feels like a slog full of fetch quests and levels that feel like they'll truly never end. best part was probably inside the alaskan bull worm, which was my least favorite part when I was younger.

I didn't even like this as a kid man, i thought the art and junk was really cool but the gameplay was just kinda whatever and it ended so quickly

good game, feels like alot of the levels overstay their welcome. still fun, but levels should be shorter

US version

this game is just boring to play. the only good play style in the game are the patrick levels and there are only a couple of those. but even the patrick levels get pretty boring. the story is pretty ass. at least the controls are music are pretty good but that's really the only good things in this game. i give this game a 4/10

Ranges from fun times destroying everything with a Giant Plankton, to just being an absolute chore to play through. A few levels last only 30 minutes, others might last you a couple hours, which makes missing a collectible absolutely gut wrenching. Levels having unique aesthetics to them was a charming touch, ranging from a rat fink inspired world of car parts, to Bikini Bottom in a flattened comic book world, to pure psychedelic nightmare induced race tracks. The music is shockingly well-composed, and perfectly fits each level.

I played both the GBA version and the Console version and I enjoyed both, but which one would I say is better?

Surprisingly enough I would have to choose the GBA version more so (and that's what my star rating is based off of), it caught my attention way more and levels didnt drag out for so long that they didnt get boring. There were actual bosses in the GBA game and I thank sweet Mary Sue every day for that.

The console version does have its fair share of strengths though, both games have wonderful soundtracks but the console is more memorable and sounds better, both games also have 3 segments of playing as spongebob, patrick, and plankton. The 1st and 3rd segment of the GBA game were much better than the console version but the console version has a better 2nd segment of the game, plankton destroying bikini botttom and Patrick's rocket rodeo were SO much better than the GBA version.

But in the GBA version patrick gets to fly and flying is the best thing you can do in any video game.
