was so excited to play this back in 2020, but found this to be much weaker than its previous installment. Essentially feels like a dollhouse simulator with shallow characters and music that is just....ok.

Two steps forward, one step back in many design choices. Lacking key features from New Leaf, updates were a drip feed of things that should have been included upon release. Feels less like a real Animal Crossing game and more like a island building sim. I still had a lot of fun but dear lordt I despise equipment breaking.

Whenever I think about this game I just think of it being inferior to New Leaf. But still a very good and relaxing game. Also was the covid savior for a bit.

I can totally see why my mom has 2000 hours on this game but if I wanna manage a bunch of little homies ill play a game like kenshi.

As a man walking around on a body made out of meat, driven to action only by occasional electrical activity, I don’t actually authoritatively know what I’m after, and if a giant corporation wants to hand me a treat as aesthetically and mechanically delicious as Animal Crossing: New Horizons and say “behold, this is what you’re after”, then who am I to tell it “no”?

A cute and relaxing game. I really love this title but, as much as I'm happy for the improvement, I know It's still not perfect. Very looking foward to play the DLC!
