Two steps forward, one step back in many design choices. Lacking key features from New Leaf, updates were a drip feed of things that should have been included upon release. Feels less like a real Animal Crossing game and more like a island building sim. I still had a lot of fun but dear lordt I despise equipment breaking.
As a man walking around on a body made out of meat, driven to action only by occasional electrical activity, I don’t actually authoritatively know what I’m after, and if a giant corporation wants to hand me a treat as aesthetically and mechanically delicious as Animal Crossing: New Horizons and say “behold, this is what you’re after”, then who am I to tell it “no”?
