a lot of problems with it, but how they handled the RPG elements in it was absolutely fantastic. definitely one of my all time favorites
The worst Dark Souls by a good margin is still easily one of the best video games. How’s that for overachievement?
I have almost 200 hours of Dark Souls II, so as you can imagine it, I really liked it. Despite of it, I have to admit that it isn't nearly as great as the first one or polished as the last one.
The hitbox is frequently flawed, the online connection is laggy as f* and the fact the map isn't an interconnected hell-like maze disappointed me a great deal. But as a gaming experience, it is indeed still challenging enough and extremely fun to play alone and/or with friends, so I'd give it a try.

Not a bad game how everybody talks, just not great how the ascestor
More consistent than Dark Souls but with none of the quality spikes that first game had. This version is MUCH better than any of the Scholar of the First Sin versions simply due to the enemy placement.

Extremely replayable, full of soul. Filtered thousands by being ugly and having too many "ganks" and "ambushes" (read: actually good, nonmonotonous encounters). Elden Ring sucks.
The beginning of this game looks like Shrek, but after you get a decent sword it just feels like Dark Souls 1 but with easier fast travel.
Also, the character creator isn't as good as DS3 but it's getting there at this point.

esse foi meu primeiro dark souls, conheci quando tinha 9 anos, e confesso, muito dessa analise vem de saudosismo, porem, acho q pegam mto pesado nesse jogo, a versão aprimorada (softs) muda muita coisa do jogo e ate a tal famosa hitbox dele, ele tem conteudo pra krl, tem power stance, ele pode ser o mais odiado da franquia, porem ele é o que mais tenta ser unico diferente do dark souls 3

Sim, eu paguei 15 conto nessa bomba em Dezembro de 2021 (devorei o jogo em 1 mês) e eu não faço ideia de como isso rodou num Celeron com 4GB Ram, mas rodou perfeito e eu joguei até o jogo engolir meu save que tava no NG+ pro vazio mesmo com a nuvem ativa quando eu formatei o notebook, impedindo que eu platinasse ele e consequentemente me fazendo dropar pq ninguém merece zerar DS2 desde o começo mais de uma vez na vida.

Absolutely awful experience to play on kbm. Don't be fooled by it saying it has kbm support, it really doesn't. Menus are awful, UI is awful, and the graphics were bad enough that looking out in the ocean with the sun made my eyes hurt. I spent 2 hours trying to make the controls work. It was a nightmare.

Still maintain that this is the superior version, for all its obscenely weird and broken pacing and item placement. Not even a randomizer mod could come up with some of the absolute batshit ideas these developers thought counted as "good ideas".

Eu entendo o hate que esse jogo recebe. Realmente mudou tudo comparado ao primeiro e muitas coisas não para melhor.
Acho que o sistema de combate, os golpes, armas, feitiços, isso sim foi muito bem aprimorado, porém o combate em si, não funciona muito bem.
Parece um jogo cheio de ideias novas muito interessantes que não foram muito bem executadas.
