Psychonauts 1.5 só que sem o Milkman.

Platforming is not great. Some levels are just pure fun to play but some levels are just pretty boring platformer. Combat is not good. In combat you could spam any attack button and you could easily win. There could be hard diffuculty option. All upgrades except 2-3 are just not that much use. Also there are pins and you can equip max 3 pin. But it's no use like there is pin which change your ball's color and there is also pin which makes your attack deal more damage. Why change color while you can upgrade your fist? Probably the best part is levels. Nealy every level gives you something new to play with.

Charming and frustrating in all the same ways the original was. Worth the wait.

Psychonauts 2 Review:
This game really lived up to my expectations and it's a fantastic sequel to the original Psychonauts. It expands and improves almost everything about the first game, making it feel like a very natural progression of the series. Which is honestly a miracle considering that it took around 16 years for it to happen. They really tightened up the gameplay this time, everything feels a lot nice to use cause they removed a lot of the lag from actions that probably didn't need it, making things feel a lot snappier. Thankfully along with the gameplay they also cleaned up the visuals to an overwhelming amount. The game can still be a bit gross, but the new character designs are all pleasant to look at, something I couldn't really say about the first game. It isn't just the characters though, the game looks really nice and helps really flesh out all these cool and interesting new worlds. The color palate got a massive improvement, making sure not to repeat the mistakes of Psychonauts 1. Speaking of the new worlds they are overall way better than Psychonauts 1, which only had a few standouts. In this game each and every single level has not only an interesting idea that it plays with but are fun to platform in. Something that they really messed up in the original game. The story is also everything I had been hoping for and more. In the first game they make it very clear that the world is much larger then the scope of the game. This time it's fully realized, and you get to take on an operation of a much larger scale, with a better plot to match. Can't say much but I actually got some Oldboy vibes from the story, which I was really impressed by. Did not expect them to go for the twist they did, that's for sure. While the overall story is a lot better than the original game I think they messed up one of the things that made the first game so good, which is the characters. Due to the much larger story there are a lot more characters, though they weren't able to give them all the screentime they deserve. Psychonauts 1 had a much smaller cast in comparison, and even if they weren't really important to the overall plot they all got a ton of dialogue after every level. Psychonauts 2 has just as much dialogue if not more, but it's way more spread out across side characters and different levels then before. This isn't objectively worse or anything, but the main issue is that characters who are integral to the plot now don't get as much dialogue as they probably deserve. Hell the people who save the whole world with you are relevant an entire one time throughout the game. Don't get me wrong though the game is just as funny, with some great voice acting throughout, just think there were some missed opportunities with the characters in this game. I think a very interesting difference between the two games is that this one is no doubt in my mind a linear 3d platformer, while Psychonauts 1 blended the line between adventure game and platformer. I think this shift in focus definitely helps the game feel more concentrated, another issue that was present in the first game. I don't really have much else to say, the side quests and pins are nice additions, and the new and old powers all feel great. Only things I can say is that the movement is a little less interesting due to the removal of the physics engine from the first game, and the combat is pretty mediocre, and they force you to do it a lot. Especially as a follow up to the first game Psychonauts 2 is super fun and no doubt one of the most creative platformers out there.

Não sei o pq perdi tempo jogando isso

It's rare that a sequel this far removed from the original lives up to expectations but Psychonauts 2 doesn't miss a step. It still even has that PS2-era platformer charm that's so hard to replicate.

I have so many thoughts on Psychonauts 2 but overall I really enjoyed it. The story and character work were what really shined in this game. It is kinda wild how complex the story gets compared to the first game which is a silly romp with cartoonish villains putting kids brains in tanks to take over the world and at the end you realize the main bad guy just has daddy issues like Raz. It also played mental illness for laughs, which sucks. But in Psychonauts 2 the story takes a very sympathetic and considerate approach a lot of heavy topics including mental illness, addiction, trauma, PTSD to name a few. It also has a lot to say about consent (Raz asks if it is okay to go in people’s minds now for example).
Not going to spoil the story but I loved it and it made me cry like 4 times. That said it was also still very funny throughout the writers did a great job balancing the very heavy stuff and the humor.
The level design was also really good, each level made sense for the person whose head you were in and none of them felt the same (though they aren’t as game genre bendy as the first one’s were). They each introduced new enemies that made sense for the character’s mind (the Regret enemy was in a character who felt remorseful and so on). There is just so much creativity in these level while also being very well thought out (It should have won best Art Direction at the Game Awards dammit). The platforming was mostly fun and good, though there were some frustrating parts and sometimes I failed jumps it looked like I should have made, but like if I can do it most people can probably.
The combat while better still isn’t great, fights are just too busy to do any fun stuff and they last a bit too long (though the game has invincibility mode so fights can be negated if you want). The Bosses are fun but also hectic. I like how the bosses are kinda just there throughout the level and make perfect sense like “of course this is what the boss would be here” kind of sense. I love the characters in these games, the recurring ones are just as fun as they were before (with one getting so much more depth) most of them sadly take a back seat but there have been two games with these characters already so that makes sense (I still would have loved more Doctor Loboto though). The new characters are fun the new kids aren’t super developed but they serve the story well (my favorite was Lizzie). The characters whose minds you enter however are very complex characters who feel pretty real and are mostly sympathetic despite some of them doing awful things. These characters are going through some tough stuff and their minds reflect that.
Everything about how the gameplay feels better than it did in the first, tighter controls, less floaty platforming and so on. I also like that you don’t have to unlock all you powers from the first game again and the new ones are fun and feel good to use. It also has a bunch of accessibility options which is rad. I have heard people say this game feel old (in a negative way) but I think it feel old only in how it it is a colorful platformer with fun characters (despite having a more modern story). Like a ps2 couldn't run this game but it reminds me of the best part of that era in gaming.
So yeah like I said at the start of this I really liked this game and hope if there is a Psychonauts 3 we aren’t waiting 16 years for it again lol.

What can I say about one of the most anticipated games of all time? It was alright. The gameplay was fun, but late game it felt like a lot fetching and the story was going in obvious directions that I felt I'd already seen a million times before. Not to mention Raz literally acts like he has no critical thinking skills anytime a story element or puzzle is brought up. New powers were cool, worldbuilding was cool, and the talent was amazing (I like that Raz's clone has Gir's voice ala Invader Zim) but it just didn't have enough to bring me over the finish line

Story is greaaaaat, gameplay pretty fuckin good, just- too many collectibles

(Played before 2023)
The best platformer out there. I love that powers are intermingled a lot of the times into exploration and combat, which is FANTASTIC, especially in comparison to the other platformers out there. The story and world is great with fantastic characters, voice-acting and an art style that is wonderful. The concepts they create in these worlds is insane and I don't think Double Fine is praised enough for their abilities to do it, and I think everyone should play this game. It is the only platformer I've ever truly one-hundred percented and completed all the achievements, something I've NEVER truly done before, especially without a guide.

You couldn't ask for a better sequel man

El inicio me pareció un poco flojo y me estaba decepcionando después de haber oído hablar muy bien de él.

Llegado cierto punto, la historia empieza a hacer click y todo se vuelve mucho más satisfactorio. Además el diseño artístico es una maravilla

Very good sequel, just doesn't have as many memorable levels as the first game.

A bit of jank and at times questionable platforming, but it's a worthy sequel even if it lacks some of the atmosphere of its prequel.

Probably this best 3D platformers ever made, and one of the best examples of gameplay and story integration.

And I say this as someone who doesn't even like the first game.

Fantastic from start to finish. Beautiful game.

Wow what an amazing game. It's games like these that make me realize how much I love a good platformer with so much love and charm put into it. Psychonauts 2 is a fantastic game that I feel like is not being talked about a lot right now which is sad. From the characters, level designs , voice actors and core gameplay this game is damn near perfect to me.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND

It is also free on xbox gamepass!!!!

Can I rate this 6 stars? 7 even?

I have no problem waiting years for a game if it comes out this polished and with this much attention to detail, where it seems like every inch had as much care put into it as any other, where every line of dialog had thought put into it. A game you can tell had genuine love behind it. I fucking loved it

Excellent throwback with a huge attention to detail in creating a whimsical humorous world.

Plataformas de acción y aventura continuista, pero funcional y notablemente mejor técnicamente y tocando techo en lo imaginativo, dejando parte del humor que lo caracteriza a un lado en pos de un tono más serio, dramático y menos surrealista que su predecesor.

incredible sequel somehow! dunno how they did it but double fine really pulled off the most in-line sequel possible to a cult hit like this. upwards of including and finishing everything they needed to, never overstaying their welcome and keeping things fresh and interesting. also gorgeous in nearly every way. also they ask consent before they alter your brain in this one? wild

Where is the fun?

EDIT: I WATCHED THE DOCUMENTARY I AM SO SORRY JAMES

one of the best game that i've ever played

As someone who is a fan of the first game this sequel completely does everything better.

One of the best games I've ever played and the few ones I can give a 10/10.
It improves almost everything from the already great predecessor, has beautiful, creative and memorable stages and all the way till the end is great fun with only minor gripes.
Well worth 30 hours to 100% this!

THE BEST MICROSOFT GAME THEY EVER MADE

Absolutely loved this game from start to finish. The art style is beautiful, the characters are funny and charming as all hell, and the gameplay is simply perfection. There was a huge smile on my face playing this game through
