Napoleon may have been good but he never had to command his armies with a wiimote so I'm pretty sure I could take him.

Got this bitch stolen from me and could never finish it. All I remember is learning a lot about war tactics as a 6 year old

I really like the idea of controlling particular units in an army. Don't recall if there were any strategy elements beyond some units countering others.

Game disc didn't work, so i give it 3/5 stars out of 5. Controls are decent and graphics are great. I recommend this game if you still have a Wii and get a copy that actually works. It would've been 4.5 out of 5 for my copy of this game if it didn't keep not reading at the same section over and over again.

I lied about owning this game to my cousin for years and when he finally got a Wii it was real awkward once he asked to borrow it. Pretty eh game, Advance Wars is better.

Both games are absolutely fantastic and must-haves for any Nintendo fans. The command system brings a very unique experience to the genre and it can feel great to lay into a tough enemy with a full army.

For some reason I was absolutely addicted to the multiplayer in this. Something about winning matches as my favorite army felt so, so good. RIP Wifi Connection :(

stole this bitch from a block buster video and never regretted it. sorry bout that btw block buster video

A very fun RTS spin on advance wars. Characters are nowhere near as fun, but I don't think that's the focus. The motion controls feel good, and the only gripe I have with the game is that I'd get stuck on my troops if i was controlling a Tank, the final 3 missions are NOT fun, and targeting air units as a ground unit can suck sometimes. It's objectively not as good as the score I'm giving it, but in one mission I had one grunt left, had a whole camp left to raid, and 2 consistently respawning bombers. I hid for upwards of 15 minutes while my bombers died, respawned, attacked, died, etc. I FINALLY got through with my one grunt after all that time and won and it felt GOOOOOOOOOOOOD. Fun game.

Replayed the hell out of it as a kid. I didn't really like the story too much because all I wanted to do is have endless battles against the AI. Very few missions allowed for that to happen.

Still waiting for the sequel tbh this game was so fun as a fan of 2D advance wars as a kid and then this. Battalion Wars 3 make it happen Nintendo.

Not a serious strategy game by any means, but then how technical a strategy game can you make on the wii? BWii has a rough charm to it, and there's actually a decent sense of progression to the game as more units and better unit types unlock in later maps. It can kind of feel cool, in a ten-year-old way. The cutscenes are firmly so-bad-its-good material.
