this movie tie-in game is so great in my opinion, the 2008 Disney movie is better but the graphics, character designs, combat, music and everything in it is so cool no matter what, the final level is so hard af i did get to finished that game after dealing with the final level of it, i give this game 8.5/10, still a great game based on the underrated 2008 Disney movie.
By the standards of 2000's movie tie-in games you would expect at least decent fun with simple yet satisfying platforming or fighting in a beat'em up style. Bolt tries to do both and fails at it.
The game plot doesn't follow the movie's plot, which is for the batter. Game entirely takes place in a Bolt's TV Show, exciting, right? Dog with super powers and stuff.
Platforming and puzzles are pretty much not existing for most of the game, they only appear in last hour of it (which is still 20% of the game since it's around 5 hours long). And when they actually appear, they quite fun.
What is here for the entire game though is fighting. It's way too simple and unsatisfying, after 2 hours of the same combat all over again you just gonna try to skip as much of it as you can. It would be way better if you could actually use Bolt's super powers without relying on some stupid power bar. I've literally used a cheat code for unlimited power half way through the game and my experience was way better, still ultra boring and repetitive though.
Collectables aren't fun, they all are either health/power upgrades or "minigames" to unlock. "Minigames" are literally the hacking sections, which they are fun in the main game, I'd never touched them outside of it. 100% ain't rewarding or fun at all.
Overall, surprisingly BAD tie-in, and by bad I mean not even B tier fun. So much potential, so little done about it.
Completion (100%) status:
All health, power upgrades collected
All minigames unlocked

The Bolt game is alright. The Story is actually not the same as the movie but takes place inside the bolt show inside the movie, which is a great way to a kid's action game make sense. The Graphics are average the design and alright pixel count make the world inside the show look awesome, but the models face look almost ugly from their designed features. The Gameplay has you switch between Bolt and Penny fighting bad guys, sneaking up of them and solving a mission from the show, the mission itself isn't impressive, but if you have seen the movie, it's great to see these characters do this, I don't really recommend it if you haven't seen the film though, the game can be a fun kid's game though. Music is really good, the packed-up tunes help the atmosphere of the game. Bolt the game is good, but it doesn't rise above that with its concept not being a good episode on its own without more to it for a needless story for a kid's game.

This game was okay for about ten minutes but it got really boring, really quickly.
It's a laggy buttonmashing mess with irritating controls and annoying motion elements that don't work most of the time.
If you're gonna play this, don't play it on Wii; the PS3 version is free with PlayStation Plus on PS4 and PS5 (although you have to stream it, but we all have to make sacrifices).
I encountered a glitched, immortal enemy that made me give up on this game, I was spamming the attack button while I was writing this.
If you don't want me to play your game I won't play it.
