In this DLC you go in Krieg's mind because Tannis thinks that all psycho's have a "Vaulthalla" in their brains full of loot. To get to this Vault, you kind of have to do a Psychonauts-esque dive through Krieg's mind, guided by his "Insane Side" and his "Sane Side". There are 3 maps you run through, one that explores Krieg not really feeling like he belongs with the Crimson Raiders and everyone else doesn't like him (they do), one that explores his love(?) for Maya and trying to reconcile the fact that she is gone, and the last one deals with the trauma endured from inhumane science experiments that turned him into a "Psycho". I liked how these were handled just because the voice actor for Krieg really fucking nailed it. "Sane Krieg" has such a soft, warm voice that really makes you connect with him. Whatever affection he has for Maya is really, really sold on the VO work here and probably makes me feel the most emotions a Borderlands game could make me feel. It also ends with you defeated a giant personification of his bloodlust and the 2 versions of Krieg fusing into one in a also touching cutscene.

Not a lot of content I guess, still took me and friends like 4 and a half hours (way longer than we were expecting), but I think the characters are dope and the music is way more memorable than the base game music which was basically nonexistent.

would be scored better if it wasn't so tragically short

I really liked the concept (which should come as no surprise given that I'm a huuuuuuuuuuge psychonauts fan) but I feel like it could've used a little more time in the oven. The atmosphere is great, and I wasn't really on board with Maya/Krieg (controversial? perhaps.) until this DLC, which ultimately just makes me even more fucking sad about Maya LOL

Why is the story so good? Why does the music go so hard? Why is this the best DLC?

Im totally here for the Krieg love but it was too short to feel very fleshed out

It's sad to say that this is the greatest piece of content in the entirety of Borderlands 3, but it's true. Despite scaling back in content compared to previous Borderlands expansions, Fantastic Fustercluck delivers a decent story and enough content to justify playing through. DLC-specific rewards could be a bit better, but there's decent stuff to find here through the decent shooting galleries on offer.

Jo tío no hay casi chistes de caquita ni de pedorretas en este DLC :(

Not as bad as people say, IMHO.

Excelentíssima DLC, com uma história boa, gameplay excelente, secundárias e segredos fantásticos e com referências ótimas.

Disappointing is the only way I can describe this. A piece of DLC that takes place inside of a psycho’s brain sounds like prime sign-me-up material, but they don’t really do anything. Not only that, it’s also insanely short to a puzzling degree. I think this was the first thing Gearbox made during the pandemic so it’s understandable but it doesn’t make it any less disappointing, especially since Borderlands 2’s last piece of DLC (not counting Commander Lilith) is a high point for the franchise.

it was the last dlc I played so maybe I just started getting burned out on borderlands in general but overall I found this dlc quite weak and not that memorable

I love the graphics and the puns but it was too short.

The best dlc by far in the whole series. They talk about Krieg a little bit in 2 but this is a much further depth look into him. Love how the side quests are related to different types of psychological tests and parts of psychology. And it being a twilight zone episode. Highly recommend!

Was not expecting a Borderlands DLC of all things to not only be a fantastic, nuanced character study, but also a piece that acknowledges the ableism behind the word “psycho,” deconstructs the term, and gives it a more positive, meaningful connotation, but here we are.

what do you mean something called "psycho krieg and the fantastic fustercluck" is a serious exploration of a character through their thoughts and is also the best piece of content in this game

This was such a major disappointment. Not only does it not even come close to reaching the heights BL2’s final DLC (Dragon Keep), it’s also the worst and shortest BL3 DLC yet. Extremely, extremely disappointing.
