To say that this game didn't have an impact on me is an understatement. Playing this on the 3DS everyday, enjoying the characters and story and enjoying the gameplay pushed me through a hard time in my life. I can truly say after playing a couple times, this is one of my favorite RPGs I have ever played, and it's the comfiest game I have ever played.
The characters are all great, Tiz, Agnea, Ringabel, and Edea, they each have their own personalities that are lovable and endearing, the side characters and the enemies you face are also charming in their own right. The world, Luxendarc, is also quite beautiful in many ways as well, as there are many different locations with their own set of beautiful scenery. The 3DS really does a good job showing all this on the screen, it feels perfect for that system. The music is absolutely amazing as well. Music was done by Revo, who is part of Sound Horizon, and it shows. It has some great rock tracks and some bopping tunes.
The gameplay is also stellar. It's your standard turn based gameplay but with an addition to the Bravely and Default systems (hurhur). You can choose to block an attack with Default and add a point to your character, and doing Bravely spends those points to have more than one attack in a single turn. It's a simple premise, but one that does wonders with planning out fights in a satisfying way. If you have streetpass unlocked and someone passes you with a save of BD, then you are able to summon that team into a fight as well, it's very cool to do!
There is one part of the game though that does something rather peculiar, only way i can hint at this is if you watch Haruhi Suzumiya and got to the endless 8 arc, for me, this was very entertaining, but for others it could be very annoying, i didn't see it that way, it was an entertaining way of showing what exactly is happening in Luxendarc as a whole...just...be wary that this is a thing that happens!

This is my all time favorite 3DS game and I wish it got more recognition for what it does right, which is alot in my eyes. I will always recommend this to anyone who loves JRPGs, especially that of classic Final Fantasy titles!

Characters extremely well written and super loveable. The side chats were an absolute cherry on top of the main story.

Story was exceptional up until last few chapters, where it felt like it was padding for play time but I also understand the reason behind it. It's forgivable, but I am still slightly mad.

Insanely hard optional battles contrasted with mid-high difficulty story boss battles. This is a strategy game through and through, hard to get through the chapters based on stats alone, especially if you are a completionist.

Ridiculously thorough and detailed world-building, literally everything possible has been explained in-game except for the somewhat ambiguous ending.

Overall, good game. Looking forward to playing the next one in the series.

Not gonna lie they really gagged me with that main menu subtitle change.

I spent a whole year playing this from start to finish. Lots of cute outfits.

Would be fantastic if it didn't make you repeat the second half multiple times just to see the ending.

[Reference played 2023] I'd describe this game as that shitty restaurant near your aunts house of JRPGs
Pros: The Bravely/ Default combat system is something to making it different from its peers however the system is very easy to learn and quickly becomes stale, the non specific plot twist near the end was a 'huh that's cool' detail despite the novelty wearing off quickly
Cons: Generally the game feels sterile and thoughtless, it's just about a playable quality but barely, the plot is generally shallow especially with the end-game expecting you to essentially replay the whole game repeatedly for the ending. Furthermore none of the characters are particularly likeable, in order of when they join you they felt like 'wasted potential', 'white bread', 'only likeable if you got at least 70% of the way through', and 'would be great if the trope didn't feel overused for years', overall the game felt like it had a constant something cool will happen if you play another hour yet such an event never happened

one of the best jrpg that I played

If you don't hate yourself, don't bother with the slogfest that is the true ending and aim for the normal ending instead (which IMO is way better anyway)

This is probably the best Final Fantasy game to realise in the last 10 years(I'm kidding... that would be the sequel)

It is true that the game has problem, Specifically certain... STORY DECITION THAT END UP DRAGGIN THE GAMEPLAY AND FLOW... However I can live with that because this is the best RPG in the 3DS, having one of the best Job Systems EVER, On top of having 4 protagonist which to this day live rent free on my mind along side the AMAZING AND INCREDIBLE SOUNDTRACK OMG, REVO DID AN AMAZING JOB.

Honest to god I was going to give this game 4 stars... But the soundtrack alone put it on 5.

Ringabell is Best Boy.
Edea is Best Girl.
Thanks for comming to my ted talk.

Fantastic JRPG with a lot of QOL and bangin music.
