Of all the SF2 clones, this one felt too generic.

My personal favourite of the Street Fighter II-likes, I never get tired of this game. It's easy to learn, has a ton of visual charm, and the animations still look excellent today. Buttons are snappy and feel great to hit, and I can't wait to show this off more to friends.

have you played breakers? well guess what you played breakers revenge too without even knowing it they just added literally one character why does this exist i played the same game twice

I guess this makes playing the original game obsolete????

RAW GOAT FUN AS HELL

Such a great feeling fighting game. Buy the rerelease which will have rollback

Breakers Revenge | MaraSNK%

Breakers é o mesmo caso do Karnov, só que superou mais ainda as expectativas. O jogo é lindo de morrer, Sprite, cenários, efeitos, tudo lindo. A gameplay é assustadoramente gostosa e intuitiva.

Bom demais...

Saizo cuando ve a un nini: BOMBA

Everyone is fun to play but then you got the star female character, Tia, who has the most bullshit aspects of 3rd Strike Chun-Li and 3rd Strike Ken. Pick her if you want to be a bad man.

Graphics are really bad, and the balance is really bad. I still feel like this has one of the most simple but enjoyable combo systems out there. The dumb damage scaling means more reactive play styles are going to be rewarded. It's not going to feel as fair as the devs intended.

Um pouquinho mais polido que o primeiro, mas não me passou qualquer sensação de novidade real. Tem um personagem novo, mas só. Até o chefe final é mais do mesmo. Me parece que o anterior tem um pouco mais de alma...

Slick and flashy 4-button Street Fighter clone. Good stuff.

fantastic fighting game that aged extremely well, feels great to play and Sho is one of the most fun shoto characters ever made

Sho is my favorite shoto character I've ever played in any fighting game. Ever. And I've played a LOT of fighting games.

I feel like you owe it to yourself to give this game a shot at least once if you're invested in the genre at all. Fightcade has it, it's getting a rerelease with rollback soon; now's a better time than ever.

IF YOU THINK IT'S GOINNA COMBO, IT WILL.

It's like Street Fighter II except I've taken too many sleeping pills and my memory of Street Fighter II has become foggy and glazed over. I'm pretty sure there was a stretchy guy from central Asia, a flamboyant masked dude from Europe with a bladed weapon and also a karate man who throws balls of fire out his hands from Japan.

But I also don't remember Street Fighter II kicking as much ass as this. there also wasn't a 90s ninja character. who has grenades. and a giant toad.

Updated version of the one-on-one fighter Breakers. Only released for the MVS arcade system so it never saw a Neo Geo home release. As well as some gameplay adjustments and balancing from the first game, the final boss Bai-Hu is now playable, and new character Saizo joins the ranks. Not much to write home about, expect the usual Street Fighter 2 style cash-in that was popular during the era.

I played this game on MAME on my PC, after I heard about the announcement of the Breakers Collection announced for release sometime in 2020. Breakers Revenge and its prequel are somewhat forgotten Neo Geo arcade games that feature a pretty awesome but small roster of some cool characters. I did a few playthroughs as Rila and I really enjoyed her moveset. Shes a charge character like Blanka or Balrog from Street Fighter so it was a very comfortable experience. The games controls are very typical for games like this and I found them very responsive, I felt the experience overall was smoother than the Fatal Fury titles of its time. Graphically the game is standard, the maps are very easy on the eyes and the animations are a bit stiff, but the moves have really cool particle effects, making landing a special move feel really cool. The mechanics for this game are pretty par for the course as well, but it includes a feature called "breakering", which allows you to perform certain moves in the later frames of hitstun in certain combos. I wasn't really able to do this to my knowledge, perhaps by mistake, but its likely very important for high level play. Of course this game is a coin guzzler and is a very difficult game to finish, but thankfully with emulation I am only limited by my own patience. I think this game is really underrated, even though it was developed by Visco it feels very on par with Capcom/SNK fighters and it was really a good time. Im highly anticipating the coming collection, hopefully with some sort of difficulty toggle. Definitely give this game a shot if you find the means.
