pretty cool... but not that cool. i made some solutions I was not proud of.

i fully remember playing this on my school's new whiteboard

Once you learn that you can break every puzzle by clipping blocks into other blocks, the entire game is suddenly pointless since you've essentially "solved" everything.

It alright. It not subtle or nuanced, but it alright.

wrote a paper on this one in college. a fun little diversion

One of the few steam games I’ve ever refunded

Let's just be honest, drawing games tend to be pretty one note. Physics games doubly so. Combining the two just leads to make it more interesting but not by much. And so we have Crayon Physics Deluxe, a game that is exactly what you expect it to be on the tin and nothing more.

Repetitive soundtrack, goals that are either way too easy or absolutely not, and graphics that do the job.

Genuinely the thing that saves it is that this game is peak "I'm sick and want to play a video game" fuel. Nothing much tops it.

Drawing out little 2D physics objects to solve puzzles is really cool at first, however eventually you figure out one or two tricks that can be used to solve just about every puzzle and the game becomes monotonous. It's a neat idea, it just doesn't have legs.

programmer art billed as indie kitsch. disgusting. terroristic. rapid prototype of a 1/5 on newgrounds.
