This is a great Zelda-like game, it was fun beating it.

The most so-so game I've played in recent memory.

I loved it so much, but it left me wanting more in some way, unsatisfied for some reason. I am undecided if that is part of its charm or a defect.

About what I liked from the game, finding Pothead around the game always made me so happy and took videos to show my partner. The visual art is so satisfying to look at, the colors and the textures are so on point. And I forgot until I saw it in the game cover, but there is this character that is a squid controlling a fisherman's corpe, I loved that guy too.

Great setting, nice art, solid combat but somehow a little boring.

Cool game, become boring after awhile

The soundtrack is great, the boss fights are very challenging, and the story was surprisingly good. Raven's Dark Souls was worth the experience.

not bad. cool style and characters, just nothing really stands out to me. it's a fine game, just kinda forgettable.

Great game, good mechanics, good characters, good gameplay, good sound track... yeah it's good

This one kicks ass. Want to play a more combat focused tunic that doesn't involve solving a language?

Está gucci pero sin pretensiones tampoco. Recomendable.

Super Zelda-like en vue isométrique; un level design réussi; un histoire sympathique et une ambiance géniale.

Despite being a bit directionally challenged, I was able to compete Dark Souls without any problems and I can vividly picture how the world is laid out years later. The areas in Death's Door blend together and are far less memorable in general. This, along with the isometric perspective and lack of a map, made it difficult for me to navigate the world.

The enemy design and combat are decent, but not particularly impressive. I played for an hour or so.

Really fun Zeldalike game with a charming artstyle and some really sick boss fights especially towards the end. Defo worth playing.

A good twist on isometric action adventure games. Death's Door does not contrive anything new, but its gameplay is solid and its consideration about work and workers are interesting and fun.
Exploration is good, combat is good, graphics are good, this game has "everything", but maybe it lacks some strock of genius.
But it's not its fault. Recommended.

Jogo é muito legal e muito bonito, mas começou a ficar bem repetitivo e cansei.

The initial premise for Death's Door is fantastic. We play as a crow who works as a grim reaper but when one of the souls they intend to reap is nicked they follow the culprit and discover the titular Death's Door, a sealed portal that can only be opened by collecting the souls of 3 ancient creatures. Thus begins our adventure, which takes us across as beautifully bleak fantasy land. You spend a lot of time in solitude in this game, and it builds a wonderful sense of atmosphere.

Gameplay is a kind of Zelda-Soulslike fusion. Presented with an isometric view, you wander around and hack away at enemies, but the high difficulty and need to constantly retry bosses due to quick deaths can be offputting for some. There's a lot of joy to be found in simply exploring the world, but some of the collectibles amount to busywork. It's certainly still a charming game and one I find myself thinking about a lot.

- Tight combat
- Intriguing story
- Quaint writing and amazing soundtrack
- All add up to make a fantastic game

deaths door really hit me at the right time. i really like the music and atmosphere in this game. its really moody and the exact feel i like in a game. combat is fun, not incredible but it stays interesting for the whole game. the zelda influence is pretty clear and i really like the different areas you adventure too. the game also has a lot of postgame content for those interested. its a really great zelda like and a must play for fans of the genre

So cute and full of character that I find it hard to be too critical. Most of my nitpicks stem from the combat and the writing, to varying degrees. I was reminded a lot of Tunic while playing - lots of Zelda DNA, a few splashes of Dark Souls here and there. To that end, I think a few of the combat encounters are designed with a Souls-like eye for challenge that doesn't particularly suit the speed of the game, although that could just be me.

Writing-wise, my feelings are mostly positive with a couple of niggling concerns. The capitalist critiques present in the narrative are more than welcome and add some nice texture to the game, and I quite enjoyed the dialogue from the wide cast of characters you meet on your travels. But there are a few places - namely the boss fights - where the writing felt a bit too first-drafty, and so the impact of their stories was more muted than I'd like. Plus I didn't know that this was a pseudo-sequel to Titan Souls, so the true ending landed like a total thud to me after all the work to get it.

I'm sounding harsher than my actual feelings would reflect, because on the whole I had a total blast here. The developers crafted something with a distinctive flavor and I'd love to see what they do next - either a direct sequel (which I would gladly welcome with this world) or a new experience that takes the lessons from this and builds on them to make something truly excellent.

Deaths door is a perfect 3d platformer, with fantastic combat, boss fights, puzzles, level design and world design. Deaths door souls-like combat is tough but fair, with well designed upgrades that feel rewarding and useful. Bosses feel tough but easy to master, leaving a rewarding feeling close to the from-software standard. Deaths door's level design is amazing with each area feeling unique and interesting, with the puzzles feeling not to difficult but satisfying. Deaths door after credit content is also well done, with neat secrets and a fun boss fight. I love this game and recommend it to anyone who plays video games in general.
