Played as part of Atari 50.

a completely unremarkable shooting gallery game. one of several on the console. gets some points over, like air-sea battle for having paddle controls but it's just another game in the sea of other shooters atari made. next!!

the kind of game that just makes u think of other, similar but better games on the console

Playing Through My Evercade Collection Part 5: Atari Vol 2

A pretty cheap feeling shooter from Atari and I mean that both in the creation side as its all pretty ugly and messy looking... and the difficulty side, shots from skulls often fly out so fast and cover such a large area hitbox wise, it just makes the whole thing a rather unfun affair.

It's a fast paced shooter where you have to hold the button for long shots, and it has what looks like naked looking 8 bit things shooting at you, while Skulls shoot at you at a very fast pace. The game over is fast paced but usually you think that fast paced games are fun, but this honest to god felt like a really cheap unfair experience, when you die it doesn't feel like a trial and error experience.
It feels like the game knows where you are and decides to do cheap kills by having certain naked enemies hide behind these unkillable skulls that fire lasers faster than you.
It's pretty mediocre and unfair.

Played on Atari 50 Collection.

Instantly reminds you of those water shooter games at the carnival in that you have to keep the stream going to hit something. Pretty responsive for a 2600 game and pretty fun too. Bit on the easier side but this was mostly marketed for youths so it makes sense on that front.

Vertical shooter that requires you to pay attention to the colors of the enemies you shoot so you can shoot the diamonds they leave behind for more points, or deal with a new enemy if you hit the wrong color.

I think this isn't the worst thing I've played on the Atari but it definitely doesn't hold up at all. I didn't have a ton of fun while playing but I thought it was different and unique.

I have literally nothing to say about this game. It's just another vertical shooter, with nothing to make it stand out from other games in the genre. It's good for being an Atari game, but there is nothing else here to get attached to.

Game #211

A little bit too unwieldy, movement and skull fire rate is extremely fast. Pretty straight forward though.
