Continua totalmente jogável hoje em dia. Achei impressionante como criaram a ilusão de alvorada no horizonte em um hardware tão limitado naquela época. Realmente direção de arte faz toda a diferença, desde sempre

Well, it's 1983 and you want a racing game to play at home with; this is one of the best you're going to get. It's no shock to anyone that going from arcade to a home system, graphics and certain QOL aspects are not going to be remotely comparable. Enduro isn't the closest graphically that you're going to find, Pole Position takes that award, but it is incredibly advanced for ways it plays with the gameplay over graphics. I'll be real, for a game on the Atari 2600, the amount of boundaries this game is able to push to include things like snowy mountaintop scenery, and fog where you're only able to see the car backlights, is kind of breathtaking. The ability it's able to convey perspective is pretty impressive too, and makes racing much more enjoyable being able to see yourself quickly approaching your opponent, learning how to balance timing and movement. Simple stuff now that is just genuinely mind-blowing it's on a home system made in 1977. Game controls and sounds really good too, with a plentiful of awesome, crisp Atari sound effects. Doesn't beat Pole Position though, which came out earlier on top of that, too - so I can't truly advise Enduro as the best Atari 2600 racing game out there, but it's still pretty damn good.

4/5

Surprised me with how advanced it is compared to what I anticipated. Obviously, it's no F-Zero, but I wouldn't complain about playing it longer.

A unique and frustrating Atari game.

Completed for the RH GOTM. It was definitely ahead of it's time with a full day/night cycle, but maneuvering did not always go as planned.

The first game I ever paid for. So maybe it's just nostalgia talking but it's just such a lovely stripped back implementation of an arcade racer

This is actually a decent racing game

Doesn't hold a candle visually to Pole Position, but I guess that's not a fair comparison. Similar gameplay otherwise.

This game is still enjoyable today, and it was the mold that created many games that came after it.

Probably the Atari game I played the most besides H.E.R.O. It's hard to get the same satisfaction from gameplay loops from back in the day, so when any can hold up over time it's an immense compliment, and the mechanics of avoiding cars and making turns is still functional and easy to become invested in.

First GOTM finished for December 2022. While I can appreciate how ambitious this game was (day/night cycle, snow, fog, etc.) it's just not my kind of game. Also, being on the Atari it definitely shows its age. Fun enough for 30 minutes or so.

Meu primeiro jogo de corrida e que conseguia muito impressionar o baby Gabriel.

Fun, the system of day and night is magic

My father's favorite Atari game. I love how he still smiles when he plays it nowadays.

De longe o jogo favorito do meu pai. Ele comprou o Atari dele com seu próprio salário em uma antiga lojas HM (Hermes Macedo) e é tão legal ver ele nostálgico quando fala sobre ou quando joga no Atari Flashback que compramos.
