Looks like you're assembling planetary systems or microorganisms or something.
It's visually flashy, and setting up a good combination of units feels rewarding. However, once part of your defense falls apart, it falls apart hard. I've been having a real difficult time avoiding an immediate game-over after one of my "towers" dies.
Overall I like this though. I'm a sucker for minimalist art direction and simple shapes.
Also, I'm 99% sure this was made by whoever made SNKRX because they look the dang same.

I would have eaten this up had it been on cool math games when I was in elementary school, but as a stand alone game its too obtuse while also being too simple.
