me lo regalaron por mi cumple ese año y yo bien ilusionada pa q luego resultara ser una mierda comparado con los anteriores, terminé solo tocando My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up) de Fall Out Boy

man crazy that the six fret design didn't stick like the actual frets do

Pre-ordered and played a sh#t-ton when it came out, the new format was fine, the story/setlist was okay, okay songs but nothing impressive, difficult or interesting. The reactive crowd was a cool feature and well made, I enjoyed the way they marketed the "bouncing off bandmates" thing.

My main complaint was with the awfully advertised, horrifically monetised and 0 "grind" ability TV mode.

Coming from the height of GH3 and the customs community, the game was a fun refreshing, new challenging take on the format we already loved, with really interesting charts and new patterns to learn, it really had some potential, but you couldn't sit and just play what you wanted.

The TV stations is a brilliant idea don't get me wrong, and a ton of fun, just jamming along with what ever came on while competing with people around the world - even thou the leaderboards were broken - but it should of been its own gamemode. Having to pay real money just to keep replaying the songs you wanted was a terrible idea and was bond to fail from the get-go. Imagine you're trying to FC a difficult song and having to cough up money everytime you wanna play it, and come to think of it, I don't even think there was a practice mode...

We are past the days of standing in the arcade, paying £2 a go to try get the highest score in "Cult of Personality".

If activision over saturating the market by releasing 15 f#cking entries in the span of 3 years wasn't shooting them in the foot enough, making replayability a premium feature definitely done it for me.

The leaderboards did have problems with super overpowered pay-to-win powerups and perks but I wasn't personally effected by that, and I think the game being unbalanced was the least of it's issues.

And look where it got it, half the bands pulled out of their contract to supply stems and music videos for the game to use not even a quarter into it, and the severs got shut down just 3 years after release.

To conclude, the story mode is fine but you could play the whole game in a afternoon, a shame because the controller is fun to relearn. No Practise mode. No Grinding or Replayability without premium currency. Just a overall downgrade in every department to any other game in the series. To think "Warriors of Rock" came before this mess is depressing.

Only thing I can recommend doing is pick a pack of it up for pennies and play customs on PC with the guitar.

Pretty fun development in the age-old Guitar Hero series yet seemed pretty pointless to close the 'Live' element and leave you with a tiny box-game. Should have pushed the 'Live' element as an update for in-box. A shame.

NOT EVERYTHING NEEDS A SUBCRIPTION

podre nojento, se isso fosse uma pika seria tipo um cheetos molhado

This really could've been so much more than what it was, but the terrible quality of the new guitar, cheesy live-action presentation, and the worst approach to "DLC" in GHTV mode sunk this HARD.

I actually really liked this guitar, was rewarding to learn with GHTV. Barely fuckin touched the campaign good god that tracklist is hideous.

this game's guitar hurts my fingers. alternating between black and white chords constantly while only using 3 fingers is so cumbersome. also, the FMV backdrops kill most of my excitement for the songs; the fictional bands are generic as hell and weirdly... gendered? it's so funny how there are a bunch of "all girl band" and "all guy band" sets.

the beatmaps also suck!! like, why wouldn't they get a little crazy with them considering the tracklist? there are so many boring and repetitive sections (also partly fault of the weird setlist).

FUCK OFF I WANT TO PLAY BLACK HOLE SUN AGAIN

playing this for some reason permanently altered my music taste. something about holding the physical shape of the guitar turned on a part of my brain. have to give it props for the psychological phenomena. the crowd if you're totally failing a song is always funny too

The game was eh, but why the fuck do you play Skrillex Bangarang on a FUCKING GUITAR

At least the GHTV mode was fun... until they took it offline. :(

Guitar Hero Live attempts to revitalize the rhythm game craze with a redesigned guitar controller and a focus on live-action music videos. While the new button layout makes for a refreshing challenge, Guitar Hero Live's core gameplay remains enjoyable. Its biggest downfall lies in the limited on-disc track selection and the microtransaction-focused GHTV mode that gates the majority of songs. Still, if you're craving that classic Guitar Hero feel with a few modern twists, it could be a fun time.

Got it for $5, and I'd say that was about what it's worth! Didn't like the change to the guitar hero mechanics.

JUEGO CHOTO, ENCIMA ME GASTE GUITA EN LA GUITARRA ESA FALOPA

Good concept, bad execution. Also not really a gripe, but this game has a lot more different genres but not a lot of Heavy Metal like the other games before and that kinda sucked

I really enjoyed the new button layout! I always hated having more buttons than fingers or using my pinky at all. This 3x2 grid of buttons is really smart and fresh. It's a shame that big plastic controllers are required to enjoy these titles.
It makes recommending this game impossible-
Wait, what was that? the servers went down completely?
Alright. Easy "don't go buy this" seal of approval.

couldn't handle the different guitar

It sucks and i suck at it, MKAY?!

Guitar hero TV is a step forward, the new layout is a step forward.

All of this could've been good if the FUCKING GUITAR DIDNT SUCK ASS

This is the only Guitar Hero game I had ever played, and it was in 2020, but upon doing further research, I discovered that this game was a subscription based service, which had been shut down in 2016. The disc only contained like 40 songs on it so I totally breezed through everything. Definitely a disappointment in the content department.

A truly embarrassing campaign, with the ambitious GH TV mode that can't get past the awkward new control scheme, with a mechanically jerky controller.

The online mode was probably the best thing about this, but to be honest I hated how they tried to reinvent the wheel so bad that I couldn't stand actually playing the game for very long at all. I got this on a steep discount at $20 but i still feel like I got ripped off.

Base Game: 6/10
Online: 10/10
New Guitar: 5/10
Worth after they turned off online mode: $3.50

I think we can all clearly see with what game this series officially died.

Tons of songs, and I mean way more than some of the other ones. Gave me plenty of time to play it without repeating the same songs all the time. Online mode with radios switching the songs randomly and genres was a great addition, the new chord style with 6 buttons instead of 5 took a while to get used to, and I can see why that turned tons of people off, but it was just as good if not better after getting used to it. Thought this game never caught on as much as it should have but I still enjoyed playing it a lot.
