My fingers hurt but I'm still rockin'.

Didn’t have the actual instruments, but I found this to be a smart concept for emulating the guitar.

guitar hero for people who want wrist injuries

I used to play the HELL out of All The Small things on this. That guitar pick stylus was everythinnggggg. 🎸

Guitar Hero doesn't translate the best to the DS with this tiny little peripheral, so I would probably never choose to play this over a console version.

Guitar Hero On Tour is a handheld entry in the wildly popular Guitar Hero series that released on the Nintendo DS. There are only a few things you can really say about this game: (1) the integration of the Guitar Hero gameplay to a handheld was impressive for the time and the game makes great use of the touchpad and Gameboy slot thanks to the required Guitar Grip accessory; (2) The song selection was fine, but was missing classic tracks. (3) hand cramps.

Idk how they made guitar hero work on a DS but they fucking did it.

A cool concept that I however don't think really succeeded in it, given the controls are some of the worst I've ever seen for a videogame.

It’s like an interactive finger exerciser

É um jogo de ds, ta mais que o suficiente

Whilst I have fond memories of this game, the janky handling of the additional hardware and how unreliable it was, mixed with near numbing wrist pain from using it is most of what prevails when I look back on this

I gotta give the devs credit: the idea of taking Guitar Hero with you on the go sounds pretty cool in theory. In practice, though... it just doesn't work that well. The peripheral you plug into the GBA slot of the DS to simulate holding a normal GH controller is kind of a neat idea, but I can't imagine it being comfortable to use for very long. And unless you're using headphones it's just hard to "rock out." An odd little novelty in the GH lineup.

this game was awesome. spiderwebs was my shit i had it perfected

Repetitive strain injury speed run.

nothing says carpal tunnel like this game

Worked better than it had any right to.

Not a bad try for a portable Guitar Hero game. so long as you're willing to put up with the hand cramps.

Kid me played the SHIT out of this back in the day. When they first announced that guitar hero was coming to the DS I was extremely excited since I was a big guitar hero fan and had the proper DS to play the game on (sorry, DSi owners), and I'm pretty sure I got this game day 1. The songlist is pretty compressed due to the fact that it needs to fit inside a DS cartridge and the fretboard peripheral you stick in the gba cart slot is definitely not good for human wrists, but as a kid the game was everything I wanted; a way to play guitar hero anywhere, and even be able to play on the hardest difficulties due to the fact that the controls are more simplified this time around, with no orange fret and strumming being easier on the touch screen. This game really is a port that shouldn't have worked, but somehow they figured out how to do it right. If you have the means to play this, like guitar hero, and don't mind carpal tunnel, then give this game a shot

And you thought Kid Icarus Uprising was bad on the hands LMAO

The guitar attachment was pretty weird

Aaaaaah yeah this got all the girls flocking to me.

No it didn't.

Fuck Activision.

If guitars were the size of a grapefruit, this game would have taught me how to play guitar
