I don't know how well the original arcade version handled it with the motorbike and all that, but honestly nowadays with a controller this game is pretty sweet.

''Where did you play this? And how did you find??''
- Aw, yes. On shenmue's sega saturn my man, I won in the loterry

Para ser un juego de salida en Master System, no está nada mal. Es muy simple pero consigue dar sensación de velocidad y tiene ese algo que te hace echar una partida más por el simple hecho de llegar un poco más lejos.

Played in Shenmue, Very good!

The master system port is very challenging but not to a point where I have less desire to keep playing. Each start over I learned more and more about how I can control my biker and through that I wound up having more fun with this one. The visuals also impressed me for an early master system game.

kinda like Pole Position but with motorbikes... it's a fun time waster in Shenmue but i don't see myself striving to play this game in any other context.

Maybe don't hang on actually maybe fall down and die maybe.

(played in Shenmue)

A good time passer while waiting for time to pass in the actual game, but I am convinced Level 3 is nigh impossible to clear unless there is some boost mechanic I don't know about.

Instantly took the crown from Pole Position II as the best looking and playing racing game when it released. The 16-bit era was upon us, and it was a beautiful thing.

Lo juge dentro de shenmue

I'm very biased because I was a massive fan of Super Hang-On as a kid from my 10-in-1 Mega Drive cartridge. So when I played Hang-On later on, I instantly liked it, even though it lacked much of what made Super Hang-On so fun. As it's own game, it stands as great achievement from Sega.

riddle me this gamers: if its called hang-on why do i keep falling off

This is a great game and the model with the motorcycle that you lean to control is a ton of fun. Played the motorcycle version at Funspot in NH.

man theres just something soothing and hypnotic about playing this
oddly relaxing game

Turning, acceleration, brakes, and three gears; Sega and Yu Suzuki's romanticization of simplicity takes center stage in this cute little launch title package. It doesn't have anything aesthetically luring to hook you ala Super's diverse sky-chasing environs and progressive music, but you could easily argue the gear-toggling controls beat it out on playability. A rare master system W.

The Arcade game looks incredible for 1985 and highlights the fact that the arcade machines were light years ahead of the home consoles/ computers at the time. The smooth framerate adds to the high playability and the bike generally controls very well on a pad.

The narrow tracks, the massive driver hitbox, and far too many AI drivers running amok makes it a brutally unforgiving game designed to fuck you up and take all your quarters. Yet you keep on playing as its too addictive lol. That's a good game in my opinion.

[Master System]

A much more successful arcade conversion than its contemporary, Master System OUT RUN, mostly because it’s aiming lower.

Control is tight, graphics are simple and clean, and the sound is excellent in an equally understated way. There’s no music during the main gameplay, but that makes more room for the very good and hypnotic sound effects which add tension and realism to the driving.

Unfortunately, the amount of content is as spare as the presentation, and that makes playing it get old quickly. There’s just not enough to see. But if you’re like me, you might find yourself repeating the same levels more than you would have guessed, just because it feels good to play.
