A noticeable upgrade to the already great SNES game, it contains lots of new content and quality of changes, not to mention the gorgeous redone sprite artwork. The cutscenes all being 3D animated is a nice addition, although DS graphics do leave a lot to be desired.

Superstar Ultra is basically the paragon for what makes a great Kirby game, it has all the strengths of the original; a great roster of abilities, colorful and creative level design, fun and varied gameplay between the several different sub-games. This remake also introduces some brand new modes, Revenge of the King and True Arena offer a more significant challenge, and Meta Knightmare Returns allows you to speed run through the main game while playing as Meta Knight.

Always fun to come back to, and if you're interested in the Kirby series but unsure of where to start, this is the game for you.

For a game I quite like, this review will be rather short, because to be honest it's been a while since I've last played it. This game is pretty much the quintessential 2D Kirby game. It looks great, has great music, plays really well, has a lot of levels and secrets to explore, and many extra modes for you when you get bored of the main stuff.

However, it is kinda short, and also very easy. I never felt challenged, and it wasn't long until I was done with it. So it's a super short but very sweet game, and if you like Kirby and haven't played it, or if you've never played a Kirby game before and want an introduction, I couldn't recommend it enough.

Another childhood darling game I must have played over a dozen times. The absolute depth this game has with its many game mode is astounding, especially to me as a child. A couple of the first ones like Spring Breeze and Dyna Blade are a little simplistic but it ramps up quickly with Things like Milky Way Wishes, Revenge of Meta Knight, Revenge of the King, and the Arena/True Arena. Not only are some of the modes different in difficulty, but many fundamentally change how the game is played, with Great Cave Offensive being a treasure hunt instead of just a get to the end platformer, Milky Way Wishes letting you collect Copy abilities permanently to use whenever you want, Meta Knight Ultra being able to play as Meta Knight, the Arena/True Arena being incredibly tough boss rush modes, and multiple minigames such as Megaton Punch, Kirby on the Draw and Samurai Kirby. Did i mention most of the game can be played multiplayer. Truly the GOAT Kirby game.

MEU FAVORITO

Eu não sei por que não continuaram com essa mesma fórmula até hoje. O jogo é rápido, divertido, e a trilha sonora desse jogo é simplesmente a melhor de todos os Kirby que já joguei. A campanha do Meta Knight é quase como se fosse um modo extra do jogo, só que ela consegue ser muito melhor que o modo extra dos outros jogos de Kirby. Além de mudar as fases, ela te dá um ponto de vista de como se fosse o Meta Knight no lugar. Inclusive, ele pedir para lutar com o guerreiro mais forte da galáxia, em vez de se tornar o mais forte, é absurdamente estiloso.

Cada campanha dura cerca de 1 hora, e cada uma tem sua própria personalidade. A única que eu achei meio chata é a de encontrar tesouros. De resto, todas são muito divertidas. Morte ao comunista Marx.
