Geht um die Erfahrung Dinge anders anzugehen, als diese üblich erscheinen. Funktioniert gut und hört rechtzeitig auf, bevor das Konzept einem immer wiederholend erscheint. Durchaus in Ordnung. Artstyle wirkt leider sich selbst ausbremsend. Paar mehr "Ideen" mehr, wären sicherlich erfrischend gewesen, die dann auch weniger gewohnt aussehen.

It’s fine!

I really love a good ol point & click game and this one’s less than a hour long, got that spooky ooky ees aesthetic and very pleasant music. There’s nothing really bad here, nothing great either, but it works.

The moments in my life when I have been consumed by existential dread are never moments where I’ve considered becoming a landlord (of the woods or otherwise) and I think I’m better off.

There does seem to be a bug on the fourth tenant puzzle and a quick search through Steam discussions let me know that you can simply exit to main menu, hit continue & it’ll fix itself. You’ll unfortunately need to redo all of your work with that tenant but it’s certainly not game breaking ¯\(ツ)

Landlord of the Woods is a twisted point-and-click adventure game from solo developer Madison Karrh. You play as a disgruntled urban dweller who moves to the forest to become the titular Landlord of the Woods. The game has twisted logic which fits perfectly with its equally strange world of severed bones, loose organs, and suspicious drinks. The game won't take longer than an hour to complete, but it's a story about breaking the monotony and has a silly set of characters and ending to follow. As a prelude to her upcoming game Birth, this is a strong $1 start into Karrh's brain. One note, I frequently had to backtrack because you need to triple click an item to add it into your inventory. This became frustrating quickly.

nice aesthetics but i'm so ass at point and click games

It's a cute short game for a buck, hard to diss it.

more fun puzzles and art from the birth dev, not quite as refined

Finished Landlord of the Woods, which was a point and click adventure with a unique setting and art style. Just a quick little game about solving some easy puzzles and collecting some objects.
I didn't like it because I get annoyed by point and click games, and there was terrible screen tearing for me because there's no VSYNC option.
If you like point and click games, and want to experience an aesthetic without too much meaning, I think it's worth checking out.

Landlord of the Woods is a point & click game about a person who applies for a new job.

It's not very difficult, and the game has hand drawn minimalistic art which I liked. But it's a bit gory, so be careful if you don't like this kind of stuff.

My only criticism is that sometimes it's not very obvious which objects are interactive. And there was a point where I couldn't progress because I didn't see the arrow to the next screen. Don't be like me, pay attention to the arrows on the screen :D

Anyway, it's a nice and cheap game, so if you're looking for something with creepy, maybe Rusty Lake vibes, you should try this one out.

A solid artsy puzzle game. Didn't really speak to me on any special level, unfortunately, but a good time.

Doesn't really tie its themes up as cleanly as I'd like, and some puzzles feel pointless but it's seriously hard to not smile a little at this game for its brilliant aesthetics and charming moments. Oh, and the music doesn't fit the tone like at all. Overall fun

Very comfy, very cute, relaxing, meaningful, and relatable. Now you may be thinking, "But Alexa, you hate landlords! Why would you recommend a game about being a landlord?" to which I would say, oh don't worry, all landlords get what's coming to them :)

(cw for teeth and body stuff. not in a gross way, they're cute teeth and cute body stuff but, y'know)
