cool game if you love lego games and harry potter. i mean tbh every lego game feels the same but theyre for kids mostly so as long as they enjoy it its fine

played the collection kind of annoying to reboot the game to play the earlier years but tells the story of harry potter in lego's goofy style of story telling

The best Lego game I've played yet. It is based on my favorite fantasy world of all time outside of Disney which I love. The controls are for this game using the Switch's Pro Controller. The Joy-Cons are OK but not nearly as good as the Pro Controller. The graphics are amazing for this game as always in the 8th and 9th generations of video games respectively. The fact that this game managed to pack Years 1-4 and 5-7 together is so nice with 5-7 being my favorite. I recommend this game for Harry Potter fans like me who have a PS4, Xbox One or Switch. Amazing Lego game based on the amazing Wizarding World of Harry Potter. 5/5.

I only played Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4, so I'll update my review later to include the other game. The first game was a blast to play through, reliving key moments of the movie. I will say tho, this game definitely has its share of bugs, one of which pretty much robbed me of my 100% completion. You'd think they'd care enough to fix some of the well known bugs before porting the game over, but apparently, that'd be way too convenient for the consumers.

Positives [+] and Negatives [-]
+ Has the classic Lego game comedy and humorous cutscenes.
+ Executes their own spin on the HP movies very well while keeping true to the movies.
+ Countless spells to have fun with, both already existed in the lore and newly-created spells.
- Spell mechanics can be clunky at times.

I got this game because it was on sale and I love HP and the Wizarding World. It's a game I won't go back to, but it was fun experiencing the HP movies in Lego form.

years 1-4 were great. 5 was boring, so didnt finish

So i recently platinumed this game on PS4 (Years 1-4 so far) Which are also the movies i'm mostly familiar with and quite enjoyed a first playthough and this is the first lego game i've actually gotten into
Grinding to find the rest of the gold blocks and other collectables after the game was over was a bit of a time sink and some of them were annoying to find but it's an easy platinum if you've got the patience.

Graphically it's okay, it's a lego game so there's no much to really say but it didn't look bad, some parts in cutscenes looked quite nice

Combat (what there is) is fine, easy to use mosty it's just shoot your magic wand (Get your mind out of the gutter) or throwing something at an enemy to defeat them

Soundtracks okay, it's mostly just the same as the movies and sometimes you might find your humming along to the tunes as you're getting lost around Hogwarts like i did.

I do wish this had a map for sure!
Definitely worth a play if you like lego games.

played this blackout drunk with an old roommate
The only proper way to play big franchise lego games

I will finish this with Simon some day

Gave it an extra 1/2 star for the big head spell

Awesome collection of two very nostalgic games. The graphics and loading are honestly kinda incredible for the Switch, and very much improved over the original versions. Having these two wonderful games in a single packages is just awesome, although I wish some of the glitches had been ironed out.

Quite different from other Lego games in terms of structure. The basic gameplay is still there, but you learn spells/abilities and have lots of small levels as opposed to 10-15 big ones. A nice change of pace if you're playing a lot of these.

Played this with Angela before the PS5 came out, but then forgot to transfer our data over so we never finished. Love a lego game tho

Played these two games with my wife in January (Years 1-4) and April (years 5-7) and enjoyed it as expected. TT Games and Lego have put out such great adventure games with lots of collectables, puzzles, story adaptations, and humor.

While not as funny as Star Wars, I think I liked this more than the Marvel Lego titles.

definitely a solid entry as far as lego games go but could have benefitted from a couple of basic features like an overworld map for the castle, more character variety (seriously who wants to play as Harry with red pajamas vs blue), and not so many levels where you're just slowly creeping along and following someone etc. other than that pretty good though, spells are fairly enjoyable

Achei o ultimo bloco de ouro primeiro por acidente em coop, e a conquista de 100% nada. Naquela época, as conquistas são liberavam se vc jogasse coop, mas tirando esse trauma de infancia, é do balaco baco

This is a great co-op game if there's someone you want to play with who typically isn't very good at gaming. One person can run around and collect things while the other person handles the fighting and more challenging parts

It is one of my favorite LEGO games.

Not only the best Harry Potter game ever made, but one of the best LEGO titles too. The exploration of Hogwarts is endlessly fun and rewarding but it's the fun and addictive gameplay that sets these games apart from anything else. Plus it's great hearing the original score as you run about turning students into ducks.

Some good, clean fun for the whole family. We were planning to play this during the holidays, but couldn't wait in the end, and finished it way sooner. Controls can be a bit strange at times, but overall, we all enjoyed it.

The only way you are allowed to consume Harry Potter, also I can't be the only one who was bothered by the fact that Voldemort is nicknamed "no nosed" despite him being one of the few lego minifigures with a nose

I think the only Lego games I’ve replayed beside the Star Wars series! Had a lot of fun with them!

Tied with TCS and PotC as one of the best Lego games.

First time playing a LEGO game and now I might be hooked...

I will say, the content certainly helped. HUGE Harry Potter fan and this filled the void while I'm waiting for Hogwarts. Sooooo good!

I do wish they had voices instead of just grunting, but hey if that's my only complaint that's not bad at all!

Which LEGO game do you all recommend I jump into next? Although I feel this will be a hard one to top...

Blow Everything up in Harry Potter

Played this with my 5 year old daughter, she loved both games. She has never seen the films and I haven't watched them in many years so trying to explain to her what was happening in a game with no dialogue was quite difficult. In fact, I think I understand the story even less now for having played the games but it was still a fun time and a pretty good remaster.
