Look, Madden NFL 12 was a decent attempt for its time. The new physics engine and collision stuff was cool, seeing some old-school legends was fun, and the Franchise mode had neat additions. But man, those bugs were atrocious, the commentary was even worse than usual, and the overall AI felt just...dumb. If you're desperate for a classic Madden fix on older consoles, it might be tolerable, but don't expect a revolutionary football experience.

Madden 11, but 12!

I give Madden NFL 12 a 5!

12 was good from what I remember. Probs just nostalgia tho. 6/10

I just don't remember too much about this game. Gameplay is fine and I think it was the last serviceable Madden before the dark times

Fine madden game. Don't remember anything special about it. For some reason I got all the achievements.

The sports game that made me fall in love with the genre

I've never played a madden after this.

what the fuck is the banner for this game bro

(they fixed the banner :[)

iconic ass madden, likely the last "good" one as viewed by my rose tinted glasses.

Peyton Hillis had a better future than Madden at this time and 12 proves that.

The Xbox 360/PS3 version is the last Madden game to feature create-a-team. It's a good feature, but it doesn't really make up for what the rest of the game is lacking.

Fans are also sometimes nostalgic for this game's Franchise mode, the last before the XP system. I actually find this to be one of the worst Franchise modes due to the menu system. It's pretty bare visually and all the menus are hidden behind this unintuitive tab system. Because it's a chore to navigate, I found myself less inclined to do anything in Franchise but play the games.

The phsyics-based gameplay is decent enough, but it gets refined and improved two years later in Madden 25. If you're looking for a PS3/360 Madden, this is fine, but I find it hard to recommend this one due to its the Franchise mode.

one of the greatest one-year wonders in football ever, peyton hillis. when i was first getting into football the browns were a team i wanted to get into because of how much i love the city of cleveland and the cavaliers. but my god, the browns are impossible to love if you weren't born into it. not only are they extremely bad and absolute masters at losing a shit-ton of games every year, they also are boring as shit to watch. my beloved lions have been quite bad, but also have had some absolutely exciting players that were must-watch television. the browns have had left-tackle joe thomas, and i'm not talking shit, he protected some really terrible quarterbacks in his hall of fame career, but that's a tough sell. nowadays the browns have incredibly exciting players like myles garrett, nick chubb, and david njoku, but too little too late, browns! peyton hillis was a random RB who had a monster year in 2010, helping an otherwise unimpressive 5-11 browns team beat defending super bowl champions saints and fraud bitch junk science peddler tom brady and the patriots. hillis only ever flashed this dominance briefly in the rest of his career, making him one of the most interesting one-year wonders in football history.

anyway, how do sicko browns fans watch them for as long as they have?

The last Madden game I can call decent.
