This game marked the start of the end. This shit was so ass everyone played 2k17 another year and would go down as arguably the worst 2k of all time. Everything good from the legendary past two games of 2k17/16 were thrown out the window and ruined the park experience. The reason 17 and 16 were enjoyed by many was the arcade aspect of the gameplay and instead they moved towards realistic simulation with this game.
People who hate sports games will say this is the exact same as the last few 2ks or whatever, but this actually had huge improvements to the player animations. Pretty much everything in that regard was better. Better dribbling, better layup animations, better dunk animations by far. Some of the posterizations in this game are incredible. There was still AI issues, you could cheese them with inbound pressure and there were times where the the ball was glued to the AI's hand. More issues than that, no doubt, but those are the ones I remember.
My Career was almost unplayable in this because you couldn't skip cutscenes. There were a lot of loading times compared to 2K17 as well and much less customization for characters (the player creator was much worse I mean).
Also I noticed that the MyGM and MyLeague started to have issues with cap space and signing players, which would continue to be an issue with the next two releases.

I never really played park or myteam in any of the 2k games so I this review may not emcompass all the aspects about 2k18. However, I actually enjoyed this game. The visuals were nice and I spent many hours of my life playing 2k18 on the MyLeague section. It was fun doing all-Time teams and doing a draft.
