Compared to the first, it's a dip in quality, but overall I'd still say I enjoyed it.

It's an isekai about the President of the United States of America... Man there's a lot to unpack and probably not supposed to be. I haven't met a LEVEL-5 game I didn't like though, and this is no exception.

A great JRPG well worth checking out. It's not game changing and the story is a little bit contrived in areas, and plays it relatively safe, but it's wholesome, it's charming and it's just really nice. Not to mention the town building system, it gripped my balls so tight.

Whimsical jrpgs enjoyers must wait longer than most for good jrpgs of whimsy but when we get them its a good time. Think i prefer NiNo1 better but really had a great time playing 2.

I FUCKING LOVE THIS GAME 🫶🫶🫶

i love roland so bad its not funny anymore

The story doesnt have as much charm as the first and without the ghibli animated cutscenes but still quite fun (It's quite easy so its the kinda thing you can kinda relax and play) The towns are really huge and detailed so they're a lot of fun to run around and explore

disappointing sequel
the art style is still quite nice though

so whimsical and a beautiful game! I adored the attention to detail in regards to the towns and cities, NPCs had designs which were very thematical with the areas in which they were situated in, and the story, for me, was great! However, my critique is simply the Kingdom Builder aspect. Considering the theme of this game, I understand why it is an important aspect. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the Kingdom Builder due to the fact that it is so important to progress to further sections of the game. Especially to (POSSIBLE SPOILER) craft the sword to beat the final boss. Having to complete so many side quests just felt very tedious and a long process overall.

NNKII should be catnip to me. It's a game that takes place across three modes [ARPG, RTS, Kingdom management] to tell a story about a young ruler attempting to define their political goals and establish a kingdom. This type of game design is so rare that it was enough to make play through the whole thing even as my interest waned towards the latter third. While no mode of the gameplay is particularly strong, each one interacts well and adds to the thematic goals of the story.

The story itself is very simple and doesn't have any of the political complexities I would want with this type of story, but it's positioned as a kid's tale and fulfills that goal.

Also, you get to play as an issekai'd president who keep's their modern 9mm, which is extremely funny.

> Trilha sonora
> Direção de arte

Contras
> historia bonitinha porem fraquinha

Well, I was liking it a decent amount so far until I get brick walled at the damn Longfang fight. I think there's something fundamentally stupid about the setup for this fight, since even when I bump it down difficulty-wise (for people whining about the game generally being too easy I was getting a decent challenge on Expert up until this fight, first time the game has felt really cheap) it seems to be a one-shot to get killed. I think the fact that the best strategy I've had going at the fight is to bunker down in the safe zones and whittle away health with projectiles is not fun at all, which is why I think there's a fundamental problem here. I'll come back to it soon-ish I think, but I'm worried I'll have to start grinding (since revival items are extremely hard to come across) which I'd really rather not.

(Broad strokes though, liking this a lot more than the first game. The story is a lot weirder with funny touches, the CG art style still looks a little weird but the overworld is very pretty & I vastly prefer the action RPG style to the weird hybrid of the first game. Still a little weird and clunky but a big improvement from the first.)

played on expert, really enjoyed the progression and loot, felt super rewarding
combat was a mixed bag, ai party members just arent good enough for some enemy types on expert, theyll pretty often walk into attacks and get one-shot
i dont remember a single thing abt the story it was fine i guess

disappointing, especially as a sequel

This game is a lot of fun. I liked the combat, and it is also absolutely gorgeous. The music was also pretty catchy and the story was simple but effective.

Charming game that is full of good beautiful content, but drags on a little more than I'd want.

Man, this game is fun.

You get to play as the President as he saves a catboy, who goes on to win a diplomatic victory, and make the world a better place.

Basura (3,60)

One of the JRPGs i most enjoy, best artstyle i have ever seen, good characters and amazing music. Would recommend this game to everyone.

Review in progress:
Addresses none of the problems of the original game. The story/writing and gameplay are awful. There's nothing of value here aside from the music and visuals, which apparently must've been enough to collectively woo over the gaming press. Did they even play for more than half an hour?

If I had a nickel for every Level-5 RPG from 2018 that would go in to be one of my favorite games ever I’d have two nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.

I really loved the original Ni No Kuni and when I heard about a sequel I was hyped but cautious. But when I finally got it and played it I slowly started to realize that it fixed more problems I had with the original game then created new problems. I love the new features like the kingdom management and the more hands on battles. It doesn’t have much of a connection to the original game as far as the narrative goes but it’s definitely the same world and style. I miss the creature taming and the Studio Ghibli cutscenes of course but when the game overall is more fun and better balanced I don’t mind too much. The original might still be the more recognizable game but this one will always be my favorite.
