There is a good game in here somewhere. This game has a good concept and a very good narrative that is brought down by how bullshit the excecution is.
My biggest complaints are the puzzles in the Labyrinths. Theyre all mostly trial and error, which is okay because i dont mind taking my time with puzzles and figuring them out myself. But the random encounter rate is so shit that youd have to deal with 6-8 encounters before you finish a single fucking puzzle. Leading me to instead watch youtube playthrough to do the harder puzzles. If I didnt watch a playthrough of this game i probably wouldnt have the patience to beat this game.
Atleast the narrative is good, people like to shit on this game because of the way it writes its characters (namely Akihiko), but I enjoyed it. Zen and Rei are really well written in my opinion, theyre really great. Also didnt expect for the main cast to get this much development, even if their memories were reset at the end.
Overall it was awful and i liked it.

Pros: It's great fanservice without ruining what we love about the characters (except Teddie). The story was more engaging than I expected with some moments that genuinely choked me up. Chibi Koromaru is perfect and precious. Great soundtrack, too.
Cons: I'm not a big fan of dungeon crawling, but YMMV. The last two dungeons are especially long and tedious. The battle system gets repetitive and is easily exploitable. Teddie in general.
Still more to love than not love on this game, though your enjoyment will depend on how you get on with dungeon crawlers.

Definitely not for me. I thought it was going to be Persona meets Mystery Dungeons but no. The gameplay is just not what I enjoy which is disappointing. It’s like an old style JRPG but the combat is so much worse. It’s sluggish and boring.
It reminds me of Persona 1 in someways but so much worse. I actually enjoy persona 1 and think its combat is so much more snappy than this. It felt like a chore every time I got into a battle.

i loved it until halfway through the 3rd dungeon, where i started getting tired of the puzzles and foes. then the 4th dungeon made me drop the game for literally 2 years. then i finally decided to finish the game and just used a guide for the 5th dungeon bc fuck all that. also the flanderization of certain characters was really annoying, BUT it is also the game that made me fall in love with shinjiro.
it was really cool before that tho; i especially loved the bosses of dungeons 1-3 (i dont even remember the 4th and 5th ones). idk if i'll ever replay this game but uhhh yeah!

i feel like i can put up with a lot with video games, especially ones from a series i adore, but after trying to play this one on and off for almost three years i think maybe i should just quit trying lol.
got partway thru the 4th labyrinth so i know i'm kinda close to the end but i just don't enjoy playing this one

Very fun game, albeit pretty damn hard.
I found the differences from the normal Persona gameplay to be fun and interesting, but there were some moments where the game ramped up in difficulty and seemingly wanted me to use skills that I didn't have, either because I got rid of them or never fused personas with those skills in the first place.
The interactions between the Persona casts are cute and make the game more fun. Zen and Rei are great new characters, maybe the best spin-off characters I've encountered so far? And the incredibly emotional story that unravels throughout the game is amazing.
