You know that feeling when you are eating chips and you know it's bad for you but you still eat them? This is what this game is like, but with numbers. There's nothing to do but you are given the illuson of action. It is just a grind for higher numbers, to the point they start using scientific notation because they are so high, and yet the game doesn't change a bit. But still, it's addictive.
Open up your calculator and start adding up numbers until you get bored. That's literally EVERYTHING you do here, but add a medieval interface. And the worst part, to unlock all the achievements you HAVE to play for over 500 hours of just that, adding random numbers until you reach the next threshold.
I've never played such a pointless, boring, grindy, stupid game as this one, and I've played and beaten a game called "Pointless".

Aesthetically and thematically I love Realm Grinder. The early and mid-game stages are really engaging, featuring some unique mechanics that set it apart from other incremental games.
Unfortunately, this is all overshadowed by the end game, which turns into a lethally boring idle grind. The necessity to read through guides just to get the last achievement shouldn't be a requirement for enjoying a game like this.

A quite fun little clicker game where you can play as different races and then have a soft-reset in a rogue-like style by gaining items and abilities that pass over with each different life that you take, often benefiting certain races more than the others. Later you're able to unlock more races and even the mercenary clan who can use all kinds of abilities from all the different factions to mix and match, creating some truly impressive combinations, though most of those I found by looking up guides online.
Being so addicted to this there's always the chance I may return to it again, but for now I have no issue just leaving it as it is whilst I try to work on finishing other games and writing up more reviews for Backloggd and other places!
It's certainly quite enjoyable, especially with the collectables found when excavating that unlock abilities and races. Often only unlockable via certain clans and not others.
