Short and sweet. Not overpriced either. Looking at you Kaito Files

Ada is great, and this DLC is a nice chunky boy.

A good DLC for a not-so-great game.

well with 1 2 and 4 remake capcom made a good game good, with 3 they made a good game bad, and with this they made a bad game(mode) good which gives me at least a little hope for 5 remake. This is basically the best RE dlc by default because it's not a complete piece of shit, it's actually more of what's good about the main game. I do think they went a little too hard on bringing back fan favourite parts from 4 that weren't in the remake; I'd rather this be more new content, I can just replay og 4 if I want those old sections again (because it still rules). Still this was the least painful DLC to get all achievements for, because even when it was hard it was pretty fun.

Game Finished In 2024 #12.5?:

Separate Ways is more RE4 Remake. RE4 Remake is great. Everything after this is supplementary.

Separate Ways is one of my favorite types of DLC/side mode: a mode where you play as another character and potentially even get more story out of it. Things like Richter Mode in the Igavanias give me life. Ada has several meaningful changes to differentiate her from Leon, most notably her grappling hook, which has handy use in combat by extending her melee range significantly. She also goes through her own, shorter, set of levels, mainly alternate takes on the areas Leon went through, like going through the trebuchet section backwards. She also gets some sections that were cut from the transition from OG to Remake, such as the fight with U-3, which has been upgraded to an almost rival to Ada, and helps differentiate her playthrough even more. To get through these reworked levels, Ada has her own smaller set of weapons. The weapons have some overlap, and I definitely found myself falling back on the Red9 again, but overall I appreciated the additional tools. Things I learned while playing the base game helped make this mode more enjoyable, and only proves a replay will be what makes RE4R REALLY shine for me. The story also is interesting, luckily, as it shows multiple alternate angles of plot events, like Ada shooting the bell in Village, and gave Luis somehow MORE excellent characterization. Her voice acting even received some improvement. It's still not perfect, but it's better.

Separate Ways is kind of the platonic ideal for DLC like this. It's a meaningful addition to the base game that warrants being played in it's own right, and it doesn't show any signs of compromise. The asset reuse is smart and tactful, and it, like base RE4R, makes me think about when I'll play it next.

in which capcom team achieves the impossible by making separate ways good. absolutely insane this has as much substance and length as something like re3 remake while being like 30-40 dollars cheaper lmfao. i need at least seven days with ada wong

I love Ada Wong. You know what I love more? Leon.

Great DLC, maybe a bit excessive on the yellow-paint (make it toggleable in the settings) but that doesn't impact my rating.

Originally RE4R released with some cut-content, all of that is restored in this DLC making it practically a must have for the full experience.

Excellent dlc that works great att providing fans with more RE4 enjoyment.

Buen DLC con la historia de Ada Wong en Resident Evil 4 mientras Leon hace lo suyo. Unas 3-4 horas por 10€, no está mal siendo Resident Evil. Te añade mucho más contexto de lo que pasa en el camino de Ada.

All idiotic controversies regarding changes to Ada appearance aside, I think this is a very competent DLC. Yes, it reuses some of the some of the same setting and gameplay mechanics, but it manages to bring enough new to the table to not feel like cheap cash grab.Even if story-wise and logic-wise there are some mismatches with the main campaign I had far more fun with this DLC than with its counterpart for original RE4.

Deserves her own game. Full resident evil where shes the main protag.

dlc curtinha mais bem frenética mt boa

I won't say spoilers but everything that I complained about not having in the main story is here to my pleasant surprise plus much more. HUGE improvement over the original Separate Ways. It's not just a retelling of Ada's perspective on the events of the game.

better than the main game idc . ada wong the mother that you are

A fantastic DLC that was longer and better than expected

Não imaginei que fosse gostar tanto dessa DLC. Vale a pena jogar

Peak DLC, peak remake of a DLC and great extended gameplay. Focuses more on the combat than it does narrative, but it's really satisfying. Pretty much as great as the base game but with added mechanics such as the grapple hook adding another layer of perfection to the gameplay. Loved Ada here more than in the base game, Luis was also really great, too. Awesome boss fights and it includes the bits of the original game that were removed from the base game in the remake, though I don't think I enjoyed the Pesanta boss fight as much as I did in the original.

Also, RIP to my boy the Merchant, hope he made it off the island. 😔

An excellent DLC, I liked it more than the original version. I also liked the Retcon parts, but I'm curious to understand where the developers want to go with the next Remake.

This game presented a very fun DLC even though it was short. Often the script does not fit with the real events, but this does not take away the merit of being great content.

getting the S+ rank on professional wasn't easy man, even using a few bonus. there's a clear difficulty spike and a bigger focus on combat in this DLC, which makes it even more unique. don't know what to say about this game anymore. GOTY
