Fun silly DLC and a better co-op experience than the other one. Josh was very funny and it felt like he was only there because nobody else could be at the time. Troy and I also skipped the first cutscene because it was seemingly the same as the main game, but after getting into the DLC...I don't think it was. I don't care enough to know though. I recommend with a friend.

The final story DLC for Resident Evil 5 tells the story of Jill and Josh's escape from the Tricell Lab thing, I think? I mean they try to escape somewhere but the level design is so bad and the enemy placement is so ridiculous, I just did not understand what's going on.
But you can be sure, there is not much story here. And not much characters. Jill is, Jill. And Josh is a military dude. That's it. And there are no villains this time, though if there were, I'm sure he/she would be very bad.
What about the gameplay, it's terrible. A trainwreck. Why? Because the DLC just spawns enemies. There is an endless amounts of enemies and a really big amount of ammo, go and kill zombies.
Especially the final 5-7 minutes of the DLC are ridiculuous. The game sends everything it can. Every big and scary enemies that can kill you in one shot. I laughed until I had tears at the end of the DLC. It was that ridiculous.
So, Desperate Escape is actually a Desperate cash grab. I don't recommend this, at all. It adds nothing and it's not fun to play. If you want more RE5, play Lost in Nightmares, the first DLC. Or play RE6, that's more of the same formula. But no, I don't think you should play this.

The first part has a cool idea that unfortunately doesn't quite work as well as it should, due to RE5's combat system. But the second part is fuckin sick and one of the best sections of gameplay in all of RE5. Super tense and feels brutal if you die right before the end. I was a big fan of that, not sure what everyone else on here is smokin.
I don’t exactly see the need for this dlc anywhere but again, it’s good and solid gameplay wise but doesn’t really tell any resemblance of a story, it’s just ‘extra events’ which I mean sure. Playing as Josh felt like a bit of a backseat experience but otherwise it was engaging. Again, it’s very fun with a friend and I do appreciate more Resident Evil 5 goodness.
Eu adoro a discrepância de tons que as duas DLCs de Resident Evil 5 possuem, enquanto Lost in Nightmares (que é a minha favorita) aposta em uma atmosfera de suspense, Desperate Escape é literalmente tiro, porrada e bomba.
