Music is still bangin, Sonic still feels a little off but fine for these Zones, and the Zone themes are much more interesting this time around. Cyan City and Parhelion Peak in particular are great. It's still not programmed super well, I had to restart the game 4 times this run due to being spawned somewhere I shouldn't be, including in the credits.
You can definitely feel a lot of what Spark the Electric Jester ended up becoming starting to brew here.
From the experimental ways traditional level gimmicks are played with, the unique environments, the silly humor, it's all things Spark would end up expanding on, but this is very excellent all the same!
Oh and the soundtrack is fucking stellar, even if you aren't gonna play this one you should at least listen to its OST.

Now this is a great improvement over the previous fangame!
The level design has great flow and is really fun, plus there's actually a great way to play this game, Sonic ATS Omega!
The boss fights have several stages and are really fun, I'm aware that Omega made bosses harder, which I don't mind, but they should be more forgiving.
The cutscenes are pretty fun, the game looks good, even for modern standards, and the OST is just as good as the previous game.
The special stages are really neat as well, I never failed one, but I don't really care because I had a lot of fun.
The lives system only takes you back to the beginning of the act, it's still annoying, but better.
Overall, pretty great!

It's a pretty great fangame, with a lot of hazards that will only attack if you stay in place. There's a few bosses that are more crummily designed than others, but there's also a lot of work that looks professionally done. If you're looking for a Sonic fangame this is definitely one of the better ones, if not the best one. I definitely had a few issues with the game crashing and some bugs, so be warned!
