ótima coletânea com muitos clássicos, melhor que muitas outras que tem atualmente ai.

Good collection full of classic Genesis games.

Played on my cousins' Xbox 360 during high school once, and tried five games: Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic the Hedgehog: Spinball, Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle, and Shining Force. Did not play any of them to completion on that collection, but I've beaten the mobile port of Sonic 1, and have Shining Force on Genesis Plus, which is on my modded Wii.

uma coletânea de jogos muito bons

Between first party and third party games, the Genesis had a shockingly solid line-up, meaning that classic collections like this are all killer, no filler.

could been better if it had an option to lock on sonic 3 + sonic and knuckles

Retro game collections seem so easy. Pick a bunch of good games, add some nice extras or unlockables, done. While some other collections on the console fail to deliver, the genesis collection is a really good effort. The game boasts 47 excellent games from the one of the greatest consoles of all time (and altered beast). You have all the big name classics like sonic, streets of rage, golden axe and some less well known gems such as dynamite headdy and my personal favourite: gain ground. On top of all this, they thrown in some great extras. There is a nice ranking system, so you can remember which games you like and rank altered beast 1 star. There are some great challenges which are tied in with the acheivements, and also unlock some interviews, new games and nice atrwork. While it's not really an important part of the 360's history, it still fun to play, and I am a sucker for these collections.

Polished collection with a unlimited well of fun.

Sonic's Perfectly Adequate Genesis Collection

Unlocking Sonic 3 & Knuckles is sociopathic.

One of the best collections of all time. The sheer amount of games, and bonus content is staggering. The inclusion of bonus master system and arcade games, along with interviews from developers makes this the best genesis collection ever released. Oh and most of the games are actually good. Super Thunder Blade sucks ass though not sure why they included it.

Played the PS2 version when I was little, met many classics this way, but there's better ways to enjoy them all now with much high standards then here.

No Sonic 3 and mohawk Sonic, go fuck yourself.

A great collection for SEGA Genesis lovers. I'm disappointed, of the fact that it can't lock on with Sonic 3 & Knuckles, but I still do really love this collection. It's how I first discovered a lot of these games, such as:

Altered Beast
Streets of Rage
Dynamite Heady
Super Thunderblade
Shinobu

And the list goes on and on... Yeah, wooow. This is also where I first beat Sonic 2, with my best bud. Fun times!

Just for the sheer amount of content, this has to be one of the best game compilations of all time, there's a couple of glaring omissions such as Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Gunstar Heroes and Revenge of Shinobi but overall a great collection.

This game made me realize that Sonic 1 is actually not that good.

Ranking every game would take a while so I am ranking this just as a collection.

This is a pretty decent collection but playing this again made me realize how unprecise the emulation is at times and the UI is pretty questionable. As for the games I learned that the Genesis had its highest peak and lowest dephs. Some games I absolutely loved while others are just Ecco the Dolphin. And while this collection is pretty awesome keep in mind that this won’t have games on the newer Mega Drive collection on Steam and other modern systems like Kid Chameleon and Bonaza Bros for example could only be played on this version while ToeJam and Earl are on the newer one which shocked me because I thought for the longest time I played ToeJam on this version though I guess I misremembered. Regardless though this is an alright collection of games but unless you are looking to get this game Platinum you might as well get the newer one or just use a better emulator to play these.

I remember enjoying this. I had ramen with my boy at his place at the time and he showed me sonic and I was astounded so I bought this later, never ended up playing it much tho

A solid collection of some of the better games from the Genesis. Mostly have this for nostalgia and Shining Force games.

A pretty good collection of classic Sega titles that includes developer interviews, as well as a few unlockable Master System titles, which rarely get ports. The 2-player games are a bit iffy at times, sometimes not recognizing that there's a second player. Not having Sonic 3 & Knuckles as even an unlockable game is a couple of points off. Inexcusable when the M2 ports gave you the functionality with two separate digital titles.

Probably the best one of these they've done.

Love this compilation! Great selection of Mega Drive games and the extras were an awesome caveat and incentive to complete games in certain ways

A very similar game to SEGA Genesis Collection on PS2 (to the point of featuring the exact same interview bonus videos), but it is definitely the better package. All but a few of the games from that compilation are here and accounted for, with the addition of a few cult classics and fan favorites that didn't make it to the first game such as Dynamite Haddy and Beyond Oasis. There are also some SEGA Master System games in here as unlockables, which is super rad, evennif there's just two of them here. The presentation is good, the games look great - if a bit soft - in HD, and the selection is large, varied, and most of the games here are high-quality titles.

There are a few shortcomings, though. The audio is off in some games. They don't sound bad per se, but if you're innately familliar with these games, some sound effects will sound off to you. Additionally, you can't play Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles or Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on this collection; just S3 and S&K standalone. Not a dealbreaker, but very unfortunate.

Gripes aside, this is a great collection. The games play more than good enough, the library is large with a little bit of something for everyone, there's some cool unlockables, and the collection features trophy support, which adds extra value for those completionist types. It's not perfect, but it is very good, and at its low price point, it's a no-brainer to add this to your PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 library.

This is indeed the ultimate Genesis collection
