This game is amazing, what more do you want? It's good, it's free, it's one of the best 2D marios and it's not even made by Nintendo, go play it.

All my gripes with it are products of its time, you can't rebind the strange control scheme (jump on the up arrow is heresy) without pulling out autohotkey, it'd be nice if there was a way to set the default zoom to something that lets you see more of the level instead of having to hold the zoom out key, but when the game is this good despite the limitations of its engine and manpower behind it, who cares.

This honestly holds up way too well considering it's a flash game

Not just one of the best Flash games ever made, but one of the Mario fangames with the most care and effort put into. It's clear this game was born out of pure love of Mario games, and it shows most of the time. Of course, as a Flash game, it can get a bit rough in some aspects such as performance or controls, but it's well optimized overall. Even though Super Mario 63 tries to add some quality-of-life features, some more would've been appreciated, such as the ability to continue playing a level after getting any star, but despite that it's still aged like fine wine. I also felt like F.L.U.D.Ds made this game a lot easier, to the point I panicked and choked a lot in some stars where you aren't allowed to use them. May not be the most well-balanced game, but it's a work of art made out of sheer love for a franchise and it must be appreciated for what it is. Legendary game in Flash history. May you rest in peace, it was fun while it lasted.

Unfortunately though, the emulator I replayed this game on gitched on the final battle and softlocked me, so I had to watch the ending on YouTube. Not the creator's fault, though, so I didn't take that into much consideration, despite being a shame that I had to abandon at the very end.

Probably the best flash game ever made, which isn't super high praise or anything. But it's genuinely impressive how such a massive, well-made game could be crafted in such a bad format for making games. But still, it's pretty good overall and a fun time, even if rough around the edges at times.

TL;DR: Easily one of the best Flash games out there, Super Mario 63 is jam-packed with both revamped and original content, masterfully combines gimmicks from across multiple 3D Mario games and is genuinely one of the most fun 2D Marios to play.

It's only dragged down by some unironed bugs and the web-browser, Flash-based limitations of its time. Some Mario 64 courses have also not adapted perfectly to the 2D style, but it's all forgivable due to the amazing overall experience that Runouw managed to create with this fangame.

(Side note: I've added this to my journal as having played on May 1st, 2013, as I'd assume I was approximately 9 the first time I did so. Also, since it's been so long since I last played it, I couldn't in good conscience write a full, serious review.)

Um dos meus jogos em Flash favoritos.

this was made with a lot of love but man it's pretty jank

I still remember bits of this game. The good ol' days.

impossível que tem esse jogo aki. explodi de jogar isso criança. o verdadeiro mario 64 tem o flood.

Cool fangame based off of Super Mario 64.

Nintendo could learn a thing or two.
Takes the 3D Mario formula of open level exploration, health meter, caps and it's move-set and combining it with the tightness of 2D Mario's controls and presentation makes for an amazingly fun and deep intricate game that Nintendo's official offerings just ...have not been able to live up to.

The level design in this is super good but also rough at times.

The movement is top notch and all the abilities are fun and carry with them their own challenges and unique spins.

Must play.

Classic, never finished it tho

um dia ainda irei terminar, era legar

A Flash classic that makes me hopeful for it's remake.

One of the most dedicated fan games ever. Some shines are kinda weird tho, idk, the game doesn't feel very Mario-y sometimes.

JueGOD.

A genuine Mario experience
Plenty of content to experience and optional content for hardcore players. A must play for 2D platformer and collectathon fans

this game has a lot of shitty flash art visuals, and it's not even the most polished thing as it does have bugs/glitches as hell

but OH. BOY. I LOVE ITS GAMEPLAY SO MUCH!

the physics's chaotic adds a lot of fun to it, and although it hasn't really original soundtrack, as mostly of them is ripped off from the others games, it's a good selection of musics

Best fan game ever made, change my mind.
