i really wanna give this a higher rating, as i adore the aesthetics and music, but the gameplay itself is just so goddamn boring. there is literally only one loop in quest mode with no variation in gameplay whatsoever.

a good concept executed poorly

Not a whole lot of content for what its worth, but still a decent lil game altogether. There's just one big highway course that you keep driving around in circles and if theres a rival that pops up you battle em to see if you can win or not. This is one of those games that doesn't really have a definite end point of what I can tell, you just kinda keep racing around the circle to get cash to buy faster parts and cars to then keep racing around the same circle with, which makes the game infinitely playable, so you can just dip out whenever you feel you've seen it all I guess. I do wish there was something like more locations to drive around in instead of the singular highway to drive down, but it gets its job done as it is i guess. Perfect game to just chill out to, makes an excellent game to play in the background while chattin with friends or listening to a podcast or whatever. If anything that ive said at all sparks any interest in playin this, then by all means do so, however if you are looking for a very deep complicated racer with defined objectives to work yourself towards, you might wanna play something like metropolis street racer or sega GT instead i guess.

This is another nostalgic one for me, having played it as a kid with very little appreciation for what it was going for but still enjoying the look of it. That still holds true for me now, I think it's a good looking and stylistically confident game, it just doesn't go too far beyond that. The racing format is a little confusing to me and I feel like I'm missing something most of the time. It also copies Gran Turismo's campaign format pretty closely. Good soundtrack and easy to step in and out of, but nothing too epic here.
